My name is Steven Snackowitz and I love to make people laugh. Since I was a kid my dream was to become a circus clown. At the age of 6 my parents took me to see the circus, it was very scary at first, but what most captured my attention was the laughter from right side of the arena. As I jumped up to look I saw, standing no more then 20 feet away from me, a real life circus clown. He could walk on his hands, juggle and create animals with balloons. I was very impressed. I knew from that moment on what I would become. Working part time jobs I saved enough money to start pursuing my dream. I would travel to New York where I would attend Syracuse Clown Academy. There I met Victor who became my mentor. Victor had been a teacher at the academy for almost 10 years. One day Victor called me to his office, he told me no longer wanted to teach. He was forming his own circus and asked if I would go with him. We performed over seas for 8 years. I had been living my dream of being a circus clown. At this time Victor seemed to be my only friend. One cold night in Leningrad, Victor had been complaining about the pain in his left arm. The next day after the first performance I was told he had been taken to a nearby hospital. It seems Victor had suffered a heart attack. Soon after, he retuned back to the states, never to perform again. The production soon changed ownership and I was released from the show. For the last 10 years I have been performing mostly at birthday parties. But that's ok. I'm proud just to know that I can still make people happy... I am “Snacko the Clownâ€...
