I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area all of my life.
At present, my mind and time are pretty much tri-sected, between:

Workaday existence - I earn my keep as a (web-centric) programmer

Music - I've played the drums for nearly 30 years now, and have devoted myself pretty seriously to the guitar, for the past 8 years or so. Vis-a-vis the latter, I'm currently studying in the "Gypsy Jazz" style of Django Reinhardt. (See "Music" sidebar for more info)

Study - I was bitten by the philosophy bug back in college, and continue to chase after that phantom goddess, Sophia; in other words, afflicted by that Platonic Eros, I continue to pursue philosophical studies as a serious avocation

When I can make the time, I publish to my blog, Fragmenta Philosophica
Having recently been the victim of a monkey-napping, my attention is drawn to this (and this ) website.
