The Tention started out as a rocking-trio in 2005, but in 2007 they transformed into a quartet.The Tention was formed by Eirik (Drummer) and Herman (Vocal/Guitarist) who have been friends since they were 3 years old. After many years of friendship and activities together, such as soccer, school and videogames, they found out that they had a burning interest in music. Sverre (Bassist) joined them and their music after a summer holiday in Italy with Eirik.They quickly started to produce material, and later they recorded a 6-track EP Demo at Moshpit studios, Nesøya. The demo was produced by Christian Skovly, who is a long time friend of Sverre and is looked upon as the backbone of this band. Just after the “Problems EP†was finished, guitar player Thomas joined and gave the band a new dimension to their sound.The Tention is currently working on new material, playing shows and promoting “Problems EPâ€. Just recently, one of their songs " Stroke Of Luck" was played on NRK P3 (the largest radiostation in Norway).
