Cursed was the name of this project in the very begining of 2002. Two tracks were quickly made (Inside the background and the final exit). Some experimentations were made lately... But i was much more involved in my other project "Modern Cubism" (Electronic music with poems from Baudelaire, sung by Jean-Luc De Meyer from Front 242).
Now this one-man project is finished, including 13 tracks on the " Internal Trauma " album.
During december 2006, Nicolas Martin and Frederic potiaux joined this project as freelance musicians for live sessions and gigs ... But quickly Nicolas has completly integrate Csygnus as a active member. And in the same way, Gaston Hollands did the same, joining this project as an effective member !
For some internal reasons, Frederic (our freelance bass player) left the band during january 2008... But the adventure continues...
The main focus of Csygnus is to paint kinda uncommon atmosphere with magic and abstract sounds. It's not something related to death or the end of things, but just a particular point of view to understand our motivation in love, and a certain vision of the world.
This first album is much more focused on some emotive trauma and dark thoughts about what could be love relationship and how this life is sometimes quite painfull.
The second one is half-made and we work actually on it. The overall sound is much more rock based without any dark melancholy. You can hear two songs already recorded on the music player : "Meditation" & "The Creatures". We want to made this album very positive, with a lot of sun in the sound.
We're looking for a record label to promote our band... So don't hesitate if you have some interest in Csygnus. Thanks a lot.
Have a nice listening moment
