About Me

I am Lord Drake Ashen. I am also known as William Ashenhurst, some may even know me as Bill. I was born on the third day of the ninth moon of the one thousand nine hundred and eightieth year of the Common Era. I am a pagan. To be more specific, I could be described as an Eclectic Wiccan Solitary.I am mostly English and Irish on my father's side (Ashenhurst)and I am mostly Irish and Dutch on my mother's side (Cratty, which in it's original Gaelic form is MacRae).I currently live in Wyandotte, Michigan. I lived in Lincoln Park until I was 13, and then we moved to Wyandotte.I am left-handed (although I play guitar right-handed). I love writing, recording, and performing music. For the most part I am a self-taught musician, meaning that I have not taken music lessons.I take inspiration from all things dark and mysterious, from life and all my experiences. To me, music is considered one of the most powerful forces in existence. It exists everywhere and in everything.SOLVE, COAGVLA !!!I believe everyone should figure out for themselves what to believe, keep it something for yourself to feel. Whether it be how we look, how we think, or what things we like. People should not be a certain way just to become a clone of something outside of themselves. Rather, i think they should be themselves and not worry about how they are defined. It is not important to "fit in" or to gain acceptance. Likewise, if you give up who you are then you will be empty, and subsequently you may become a perpetual interior nothing. Perhaps a "nothing" that has more acquaintances, but still nothing in actuality. Just a mere copy of someone or something else.I think people should question all religion and science, and their application of it throughout their lives. I believe there should be a balance. If you question it, and learn about it, then you may make better decisions about what is right for you. Same goes for the government. We need balance. People can learn so much from history, if they so choose to search for answers. However, I also think ignorance is humanities biggest threat, aside from greed. I am also partial to Norse, Native American, Celtic, Greek, and Egyptian mythology. I believe there is alot of wisdom to be found there. I think that the same could be said concerning basically any kind of story.Stay true to yourselves....I speak here a little bit of my personal philosophies. Think what you will.

My Interests

Things I Find Interesting:music (listening to it, writing, and recording), art (creating it, as well as studying it and just enjoying it), reading, Paganism, being in nature, partying... and shit like that, coffee and espresso, lattes, chocolate, dark beers and stouts, lagers, porters, whiskey, rum, wine, buffalo sauce, popcorn, photography, medieval history, ancient history, getting tatoos, and piercings, clove cigarettes, hiking, camping, constitutional law, heraldy/ family history, travelling, campfires, animals, concerts, theatrical plays, some operas, horror movies, mystical creatures, leather, weapons (especially older weapons), candles, being in the woods, computers, archery, astral planes, multi-dimensional realities, aliens, astronomy, astrology, quantum physics, string theory, Shamanism (Norse, Celtic, and Native American), vampyres, gargoyles, dragons, wolves, trees, cats, poetry, armour, etc. etc.I like to make things out of leather and studs/ nails/ spikes. And, I also enjoy photo/ graphics design. Of course i get into alot of philosphy and spiritual development as well.I love to play guitar, keyboards/ organ, bass guitar, some drums, panflute, and my ocarina. Music Genres:I like:Black Metal, Extreme Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal, Epic Metal, Folk Metal, Viking Metal, and Speed Metal, etc.... Also: Folk music, classical, industrial, gothic, classic rock, opera, atmospheric, ambient, etc....I basically like most anything with real feeling to it, and meaning behind it. Something more than just sound. Even if it's cryptic. And even if it sounds "noisy" to some people.I Dislike: RAP, R&B, Hip hop, etc!!! Yes that does include any rock or metal with rap!!
