Marco Taggiasco works as arranger and producer, as well as songwriter for various record projects. He's also been requested as composer for comedies, commercials and short movies, mostly from the independent scene.
Starting to play organ at 16, he self-taught harmony, music theory and arranging. He begun to play keyboards joining schoolmates singers, soon starting to write arrangements for them. Arranging soon become Marco's main activity, with requests from songwriters, singers and instrumentalists.
In 1982 - along with his brother - Taggiasco formed his own band, named Fulltime Dance, a large fusion combo with horns, featuring some top session players from the jazz scene like Aldo Bassi, Marco Siniscalco, Cristiano and Massimo Carrano, Andrea Pighi among the others. Even if the project became quite popular in those years, it never received attention from the labels, so in 1987 the band retired.
During the 90s Marco Taggiasco focused his efforts on the studio work, producing and arranging for singers, eventually acting for them as a music director. In 1991, with the help of drummer and friend Riziero Bixio, he set up his own recording studio, the Mr.T Studio, with the purpose to get full control over music production.
Some of the songs you can hear on this page are from a promo-cd released in 1997 and titled Four Love Ballads. The record features some valuable vocalists such as Piera Pizzi and Fabrizia Barresi. It was recorded as a showcase of Marco's songwriting, mostly meant for publishers use, now available on request.
In 2004 - after over 25 years of work for other artists - Marco Taggiasco released his first solo album featuring emerging vocal talent Andrea Sanchini and a bunch of top Italian session players. The record, titled Thousand Things, has quickly become a little cult item mostly in Japan and Northern Europe, selling quite well worldwide. It's been extensively reviewed on the most relevant Adult Contemporary Music websites and portals in Japan, Sweden, Austria, Denmark and France where It's been regarded as one of the most interesting Adult Pop / West Coast albums of 2004/2005.
