The Banditos

At one time we were called Greenhouse Effects. During 07 we played lots of shows but couldn’t keep things together. After numerous problems practices started becoming fewer and fewer until they stopped completely. Now we have regrouped with a new sound, attitude and direction. Hopefully starting over will give us the freedom to leave whats in the past behind us. What we are making now is a mix of all the things we love about music. The truth/storytelling of older country, the soul of the blues and the energy of punk rock all with the spirit of the new south. We’ve been writing constantly and have enough new songs for a totally revised set. Hopefully with everything we’ve changed we will actually be able to make a record this time. The topics of our songs range from hot rod loving young girls (my brothers conception) to redemption (river baptism) to the crime in Birmingham (we got shot at late one night after a show in Bham while we were loading up our equipment). We want our music to be reflective of the place we grew up and the things we have experienced. As long as we can continue to make music that we feel passionate about we’re confident that we can keep it together.
