Music, the computer, laughing, movies, playing games on game sites, especially Pogo. The time I get to spend with my online friends and my real time friends is invaluable and mean more to me than most will ever know. My friends mean the world to me and are what keep me sane and I love them very much!! To all those that support me...
Due to the clinical rotation I just completed in Oncology, I felt compeled to honor those dealing with cancer. This ribbon is for all of those people and their families, for all of my friends and family who have gone through cancer and survived, and unfortunately for those who have lost their fight, including my great aunt Larae and my cousin Debbie. May we never give up trying to find a cure and may it come soon. Keep the hope alive and support your local Cancer Society by purchasing products that support the cause, giving donations the the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and participating in the Cancer Foundation's Walk Of Hope and other fundraisers that they have. This ribbon is in tribute to all of those touched by cancer.
I'd like to meet:
Amy Lee, and the members of my favorite band Godsmack because they rock!
Music:
Godsmack, Evanessance, Nickleback, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, Disturbed, Korn, Garth Brooks, Melissa Etheridge, Rascal Flatts, Jewel, Indigo Girls, Kenny G....
As you can see, I like most anything, depends on my mood what I am listening to. I'm not a big fan of gangsta rap or opera though.
Movies:
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original), Blazing Saddles, Dirty Dancing, The Phenomenon, Ghost, The Bourne Supremecy, Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Mask, and Friday...are some of my all-time favorites. In general I like comedies the most because I just love to laugh, and the more people you have watching a funny movie to laugh with you, the funnier it is.
Television:
I absolutely LOVE the CSI series (all of them), Without a Trace, Cold Case, Alias, Will & Grace, Sex in the City. Anything that makes me laugh is good. I need to laugh nowadays.
Books:
Stephen King and Clive Barker. Fave book of all-time is "Weaveworld" by Clive Barker. I wish I had more "me" time to read. One 'book' I love is PostSecrets. I read the new ones every Sunday religiously and it's one of the few things I actually look forward to reading weekly. I got turned onto it by a friend from Yahoo, and now I love it and intend on posting my own 'secret' soon. Here is a little clip I found. Try it out sometime, it's quite addicting and very fascinating to know that no matter what, you're not the only one with a deep dark secret.
Heroes:
My daddy and all of the men and women who are serving our country who give us the right to have personal opinions, to choose our own career, to have as many children as we want or don't want, and to do things to express ourselves, such as a MySpace page. To that I say a great big "Thank you!!" And as a tribute, these will remain on my page until they all come home!!!
And this is my future husband. OK OK so it's not REALLY but hey, a girl can dream, can't she???
