I view the body of my artwork in evolutionary terms in which I am trying to follow the progression of my creativity and artistic vision. I tend to work on a series of ideas or concepts, which are of varied duration and significance, before I develop another link to a new idea or re-visit a past concept. My most recent work chronicles my thought process on human emotions, passions, relationships, time and the confrontive nature of art.
In some work, I have experimented with materials common in life, but slightly unconvetional on paintings. Those materials include rope, barbaque skewers and joint compound, however I have moved to more traditional materials as the concepts evolved.
There are a number of images which have traditionally appeared in my work. These include: birds, fish and horses as well as dancers and subliminal dream imagery. Some newer works also examine the imagery of other cultures, utilizing repeated architectural patterning and colors.
