Ok so i'm 50, but i still like a good rhythm and a good tune as my two daughters, Katie and Rosie will testify.
All of my music is created using a midi sequencer, software sythesizers and a few soundfonts thrown in for good measure.
During my teenage years I learnt the rudiments of an acoustic guitar and also developed an interest in electronic sounds, listening to bands like Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Yes and of course Pink Floyd. I started work as a broadcast television engineer with the BBC. Whilst on my first residential training course I purchased a second hand electric jazz bass guitar, which became my favoured instrument. Having passed through several years of training, I finished up in the video tape department at the London Television Centre. In the early 90’s I started to edit promotional trailers, many of which were set to music, one of them even winning a silver BPME award in the category “Best use of Musicâ€.
Due to my erratic work patterns I was never able to commit to any kind of band on a regular basis, so I had to wait for computers to become powerful enough to allow me to compose and record music.
The end of ’99 saw the production of my first album, with another two following at annual intervals, the last one, Outer Edge, has the lead track featured on this site. The other tracks are more recent creations which will be added to my next album.
Outer Edge is still available for purchase, please contact me for details.
Currently composing Trance Tracks for upcoming event. :-)
