Der Sympathieträger ist ein vom Aussterben bedrohtes Beuteltier aus Papua-Neuguinea und wie jeder echte Clubgänger äußerst nachtaktiv. Mit seinen smart wirkenden Augenringen bietet es auf einzigartige Weise ein Höchstmaß an Identifikationsmöglichkeiten.
Zusammen mit dem Paradiesvogel, einer ebenfalls bedrohten Tierart, wird er ab sofort allen partyhungrigen Nachteulen den Weg durch das Dickicht der Dortmunder Nächte weisen.
Die CusCus-Reihe steht nicht nur für eine anspruchsvolle elektronische Party der Superlative mit nationalen und internationalen DJs und Residents, sondern gleichermaßen für niveauvolle Musik wie auch für Aufklärungsarbeit den Naturschutz betreffend. Die CusCus-Reihe konfrontiert die Partygesellschaft auf ungewöhnliche Art unaufdringlich und angemessen mit der Zerstörung des tropischen Regenwaldes. Ein Problem, dass uns alle angeht und auch im entspannten nächtlichen Partyleben seinen Platz finden soll.
Im Rahmen unserer Möglichkeiten wollen wir unseren Beitrag zur Rettung aussterbender Tierarten leisten. Von den Eintrittsgeldern wird pro Besucher 1 Euro zu diesem Zweck gespendet. Langfristig! So dass jährlich einige tausend Euro dem guten Zweck zu Gute kommen werden. Für dieses Vorhaben konnten wir den WWF Deutschland als Partner gewinnen, eine seit Jahrzehnten weltweit erfolgreich operierende Stiftung für Natur. und Umweltschutz.

The Players Along with the CusCus-residents Mark Jackus and Claas Tiwa there are topclass djs like e.g. M.A.N.D.Y., SONO, Einzelkind, Chab, Daniel Taylor, Andry Nalin, Tube & Berger, Oliver Moldan , Martin Eyerer etc., who make the crowd sweat.
The Name
The sympathetic mascot is a marsupial mammal from Papua New Guinea threatened with extinction and like every clubber extremely nocturnal. With its smart acting circles around the eyes it gives a maximum of identification in a very unique way.
Along with the bird of paradise, a likewise endangered species, it guides all hungry nighthawks through the copse of Dortmund nights.
The Idea
The Cuscus series stands not only for pretentious electronic party with national and international djs and residents but also similarly for sophisticated music and for educational work concerning nature conservation. It confronts the party community in an unusual, discreet and reasonable way with the destruction of the tropical rainforest. A problem which concerns all of us and should find its place in the chilled out party nightlife.
Within the realms of our possibilities we want to contribute to the preservation and conservation of declining species. One Euro of each entrance fee will be donated, on a long-term base. This way we will collect thousands of Euros every year for a good reason. Therefor we have teamed up with the WWF Germany, which is an established and world wide successfully operating foundation for environmental protection and nature conservancy.
