Dobbie

My name is Dobbie and I'm a two year old Basset Hound. I live in Kent with my mummy and daddy, I'm an only child so I get them all to myself. I came to live with my mummy and daddy when I was 9 weeks old.
I'm very cheeky and will stop at nothing to get what I want. I am very intelligent and can do some tricks when there's something in it for me (otherwise what's the point?), but like to act dumb most of the time otherwise all the big people will get me to do lots of silly things that I don't want to do!
I like to sniff things a lot, you can tell a lot by sniffing things. I need to know what's going on all the time so I don't miss out on anything. You never know someone may have a treat in their pocket for me!
I love borrowing socks (daddy says it's stealing), they're really fun to chew on. I also love to lick people's ears, they taste good, mmmmmmmmmm!
I have a few doggy friends, but I also like the big people, they give me lots of attention. Call me handsome, rub my belly and I'll love you forever.
I'm a happy chappie and never get cross, not even when my cousins pull my tail and laugh at my big ears. The little big people are the best, especially when we play chase!
I do get scared sometimes and need my mummy and daddy to protect me. Some things I'm scared of are: guitars, vacuum cleaners, plastic bags, ladders, and most scary of all.......brooms. They never hurt me, but you can never be too careful you know, best to run away before they get a chance.
My most favourite thing in the world is to snuggle up on the sofa (my sofa) with my parents and snooze. I like cuddles, but I'm sure they like them more!
