I love the Power Glove ... It's so bad.

About Me

It's been a while since I have updated this ... and a lot has changed since then! Many of you know me as "Holland's favorite son" ... and that I'm a biggin. We all know how much I talk about Holland and how the Dutch rule the world! I guess it's just cause I miss it all so very much. One day I will live there again, or have a vacation home there, either way. For now Europe is gonna have to wait. My heart is set on seeing the Brothers Cup succeed! A life is nothing but a grain of sand in the world's hourglass. Why not make it mean something?! Music is my life and my passion. My goal is share it with as many people as I possibly can, and hope that it will have a positive impact.
I love my life, my family, my job, my brothers and sisters in music, the friends who support me through thick and thin. I love to travel and see the world, but I'm not a tourist. I have heard the world of music and I'm still fascinated with new artists and talent all the time. However, there is nothing like hearing musicians express their emotions through live song. A record is just enough to hold you over till the next live show.
Life is a drug which pulsates through my veins. I live it to the fullest and have seen and done many great things ... and I'm about to do a shit load more! Life is good.

Oh, don't forget to check out my kickass band, HighTide! ( www.myspace.com/hightide :). Second OH, I am now playing with a second band, Split Finger, and these guys kickass as well!!! ( www.myspace.com/splitfinger :).

PLEASE check out my new artist profile!!! ( www.myspace.com/bobrissolo :).

I'd like to meet:

uhh ... the Dali Lama, Gandi, or Shivah would be nice too ... but mainly just a really sweet down to earth girl, who loves to have fun and would enjoy hanging out with a dork like me :P.

Music:

Ugress, Chicane, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Rank-1 (for their hit :: Sensation - The Anthem 2003!!!), Infected Mushroom, PPK, Bent, Lux, Doe Maar, Bløf ... most artists from the famed collections of Café Del Mar, Buddha Bar, Ministry of Sound, and GateCrasher ... plenty of the great mixes that come out of Ibiza ... and most importantly - www.radio538.nl - klik op "luister live" for the best radio in the world, anywhere in the world!!! In the end I truly love all music, but currently I am definitely in a chilled state of mind.

Hey ... I just thought it would be cool if I tried to compile a list of all the bands I have seen play over the years. It might take me a long time to remember all the different shows I have been too ... sooo ... bear with me :).

-..unk / Swing / Reggae / HipHop -
Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats, The Hippos, Save Ferris, Suburban Legends, Jeffries Fan Club, Forces of Evil, Let's Go Bowling, The Specials, The Selectors, The Skatalites, Mad Caddies, Catch 22, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Buck-O-Nine, Fishbone, Goldfinger, Blink 182, Fenix TX, MXPX, Sugar Cult, Something Corporate, Unwritten Law, Saves the Day, Strung Out, Face to Face, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Rocket from the Crypt, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Big Sandy, Steel Pulse, Eek a Mouse, Third World, Slightly Stupid, World Tribe, Mos Def, Cypress Hill, Xzibit, KRS One, De La Soul

-..unk / Latin / Rock -
Tower of Power, Arturo Sandoval, Victor Wooten, Martin Medeski and Wood, Zebrahead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, Incubus, System of a Down, Sevendust, Ozomatli, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Cake, Queens of the Stone Age, Dishwalla, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots, The Strokes

-..lectronica -

Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Markus Schulz, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and Digweed, Judge Jules, Second Sun, Jeff Mills, Victor Dinaire, Austin Scott, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Björk, Thievery Corporation

... well, I guess that's it for now! Keep checking back, the list should keep getting bigger!

Movies:

ahh yes ... Movies ... Americas greatest of all pop cultures ... I would have to say most of the movies I truly loved came from the 80s when they had the most impact on my life ... I mean come on ... who didn't want to be Indiana Jones at one point in their childhood!!! Don't get me wrong Hollywood still keeps them coming strong ... but Paris Hilton in House of Wax!!! I mean come on! Where is this world headed to!?! By the way ... I actually just finally saw this movie. I love how her role is basically to fuck a bling bling hip hop pimp with an escalade ... and then get fucked up in the end. That and what's up with a road trip of two cars ... What, can't fit 6 people in a fucking escalade?

Television:

I get my dosage of [adult swim] in mostly for family guy and futurama and pee-wee herman's playhouse and robot chicken ... but nothing beats South Park!!! If I'm not attending to my lust for older audience cartoon humor, you will catch me watching the Discovery's science channel ... or ... G4 for the occupational education. And now da Ali G Show ... whenever HBO decides to upload new episodes!

Books:

I wish I could read good!!! ... er well ... which is good!!!

Heroes:

I believe everyone has done at least one heroic thing in their life, or would if given the chance ... and if not ... yer a f*ckin pansy!
