I have a lot of interests: music, business, science, people, languages, cooking, all types of reading, epics, poetry, world philosophy, movies. I also enjoy writing philosophy and poetry. I like swimming and travelling, too.
... meeting someone isn't enough. I want to be able to have a sit down non-forced pow-wow with quite a few people. I want to meet Jesus, John the Baptist, Lincoln, my maternal great grandmother Tharsey Adams, Kant, Hawking, Einstein, J.S. Bach, Tori Amos, Ben Folds, C.S. Lewis, Robert Heinlen, Bill & Melinda Gates, Wierd Al Yankovich, Will Farrell, and Dave Chappelle.
I love music, but I'm not very well versed in current culture music. I'm a musician though... music has saved my life countless times since I was a child. There's truth in music. For years it was my only emotional outlet and soother. It strikes a harmony in the soul when something is just played the right way or with the right feeling or caress. Being around it when it happens is an immeasurable blessing.
I love movies. Its my family's primary language, English is a second language to us. I have a lot of favorite movies, but on occassion I'll say either Groundhog Day or Stranger Than Fiction. Scary movies really scare me, I mean for real. You'll catch me watching one and laughing every now and again though.
TiVo is a blessing from God.
My favorite novelty books are usually in the far future sci-fi genre. However, from time to time, you'll catch me reading some non-fiction, or some other kind of novel. Up until about 2 years ago, I noticed a trend: If I was interested in how an author wrote or thought, I'd read all of his books, and start drawing a map of how their mind changed from book to book to figure out how they thought. This turned into a love for philosophy, scientific biographies, epistemology, and classical poetry, so sometimes I read that too. I have a long list of authors, you'd probably find in my blogs.
I have many... some are heroes of my soul, some of my mind, my heart, and some who have mastered some of my traits are heroes of my genes.
