Ann

I love all things percussion! There are so many great drummers who play in local bands but if I had to chose my favourite well known ones they would be Evelyn Glennie, Chad Smith, Neil Peart, and Mick Fleetwood. I like to have a go at playing all styles of music but my passion on the kit is ROCK. I have been playing for about 6 years (wish I’d started a lot sooner) and also play percussion in an originals band called io. I have played in a couple of rock bands before and learnt loads, but being no spring chicken, I was chomping at the bit to get out there and play with a regular gigging rock band, so I decided to form a band myself – Samsara is the outcome. All the members are great musicians, enthusiastic and committed and we all get on well – a dream come true. Hope to meet you at one of our gigs.

Lynda

Most people know me as Lynda Lamb, this is due to the great passion I have for live music as I used to run the Lamb in Preston as a venue. At the time I did not perform as an artise myself but used to encourage young bands as well as established bands. Since then I became a entertainer in Spain for 4 years, when I came back to England I joined Peter Knight of Assemblyline recording studio to form a acoustic duo known as Jazmine supporting fabulous band The Silver Dogs. We play all over the northwest. I was also the backing singer for rock band Wrecked, I met Ann, our Drummer, she told me about Samsaras singer leaving and asked me if I would join and I’ve not looked back since. Samsara are great, I just love being part of an arse kicking rock band. I know you will love Samsara as much as we do. See you soon!.

Andy

I've been playing guitar for about 25 years, so I figured it was time to get gigging properly, well you can't rush these things can you? Talking of Rush, they're one of favorite bands with Alex Lifeson being my number one guitar hero, along with Tony iommi, Angus Young, Dave Gilmour, Steve Rothery, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Martin Taylor...ok I'll stop now. Gear wise I'm playing a Les Paul standard through a Hughes and Kettner Switchblade amp (a mighty fine bit of kit). Keep music live!!.

Bill

Started playing guitar five years ago and quickly decided that I preferred playing the bass. I was a founder member of the classic rock band Wrecked which was formed four years ago. I left Wrecked in Feb 2007 having played 230 gigs with them at numerous pubs and biker rallies. I’m currently playing in two bands, io which is a 6 piece progressive rock band playing mainly original material and this new band Samsara. It’s a real pleasure playing with Samsara who are a happy and talented group of people and we’re all confident that over the coming months Samsara will join the ranks of the many top bands that we have here in the north west. Rock on !.

Jason

Keyboards became a part of my life through my parents, who put me through piano lessons when I was about 10 years old. They also gave me the inspiration to be in a band as they were in a very popular one in West Scotland. Therefore I've been playing keyboards for a long time!! When Ann pulled this band together I jumped at the chance!! Everyone is so committed to the band, are great musicians and there's always a cool vibe when we all get together. So come along to one of our gigs, and be sure to bring your ear defenders!!

The Bridge Inn

Great crowd and we seemed to go down well. We've been booked again twice, so they must of liked us! On the down side, we didn't play to the standard we know we can...we're looking forward to the next ...
