Do you lick the lid of life?

About Me

I'm Kathryn, please call me Kate. My mum only calls me Kathryn when she's very very angry with me. I've just finished a degree in English Language at the Uni of Manchester, and i am now nervously awaiting my results (come on June 25th!) In September I'm doing a PostGrad in Broadcast Journalism at Preston - it'll be fun and it will also delay me getting a job by at least another 12 months.Recently bought my first house in Bolton. I am now a 'homeowner' on the 'property ladder'. I have met a great man who i have been courting for a very long time. I am a slight fitness freak - will try an form of exercise - well at least once anyway. And it should be mentioned that I am vegetarian - for some reason people seem to think that is important - you choose to eat meat - I do not - move on.Anyway, enough of my personal information. Please feel free to get in touch. If I like you or I am intrigued by you I might even reply.

My Interests

Tae Kwon-Do, running, horse riding, eating lovely food, news and current events, wine (white), languages/linguistics (esp child lang, psycholing & African langs) i love it - i am a geek, nights out dancing my ASS off!, shopping (when im not a typically skint student) sleeping, watching TV, and other things I'm not gonna mention....

I'd like to meet:

* Tupac - what really went on there? * On the same note, Jesus. * Trevor MacDonald - he's a legend. * David Attenborough - same reason. * Any Calvin Klein male model - because if you hadnt already noticed they are all hot. * Queen Liz II - why not if I could? * Myself in 50 years to see what my life will turn out like (if im lucky enough to live that long).

Music:

I love listen to absolutely any music... except the kind that the scallies who live on my street listen to. But i guess i'm an RnB chick at heart! AT THE MOMENT I'M INTO..... dancehall.

Movies:

Pay it forward (a beautiful story). Troy (semi-naked sweaty men). The Departed. The Butterfly Effect. V for Vendetta. All X-Mens. Films that make me think so very very deeply that it hurts your brain. Action films - lethal weapons and die hards are CLASSICS! Anything starring Morgan Freeman or Julia Roberts is always a winner (cant beat Pretty Woman right? no matter how many times you've seen it).

Television:

Heroes, Family Guy, Spooks, Scrubs, Top Gear, Charmed, The Simpsons, CSI, Bones, basically all the crappy American detective ones. Prison Break. I do occasionally like to watch Question Time. Also enjoy watching Athletics and Gymnastics. What? you think i watch too much TV? When I should be doin uni work? No way.

Books:

Having to read uni books all the time has kind of sucked the enjoyment out of reading for me. But I do read anything by Kathy Reichs or Lee Child.

Heroes:

My mother. Anyone who has the balls to attempt something challenging, whether they succeed or not. People who just be themselves and dont try to seek others approval all the time.
