About Me

I'm a high school history teacher in the northern panhandle of WV (John Marshall High School) and a Christian songwriter.I'm married to a wonderful husband who is a retired high school history teacher and we live here with our golden retriever, black mutt, stray cat, and pound cat. Life is good. Here's some family pictures as well as one of a group of co-workers I had the privilege of working with. Most of them retired in recent years (they were all hired at the same time back in the early 70's) so we've got a virtually all new social studies staff at JM as we gear up for another 30 years of quality service! I get to bridge the gap.The videos below are of my senior year in JMHS band, a fairly recent JMHS choral concert presentation of a song I wrote, and a 1981 commercial for the Oakland A's featuring Billy Martin. When I was an early teen, I really got into following baseball and any team managed by Billy Martin, who knew how to make that game fun to watch with his unpredictability. If you don't know Billy, the video won't mean much, but if you do remember him, the little commercial should bring a smile.

My Interests

Music and sports.

I've met everyone here I would hope to except Billy Graham. I look forward to seeing Jesus, but I'll wait until the time is right. ;)
