animals/pets, mountain bike riding, camping, hiking, tide pools, - all that outdoorsy crap- would like to become involved once more with photography. . .it's been awhile.
Dim-sum, poetry, good books. Baseball- always up for catching a dodgers or angels game.
Road trips, especially to las vegas, or santa barbara for wine tasting, the Bay area, or San Diego.
Cherry picking season. Huntington dog beach. Museums, exhibits, cultural events, aquariums. . . sure, movies, bowling, board games, the computer, poker, gambling, stream of consciousness. . .
Anyone who has never written "I love to laugh!" to describe themselves. Anyone that isn't perpetually pessimistic, woe is me, wowzy wowzy woowoo, constant dark clouds, melodramatic, or too much drama in general, et cetera.
Someone that will play a damn game with me - scrabble, chess, checkers, monopoly, trivial pursuit, backgammon, jenga- something fun or mentally stimulating, preferably both. Hiking, biking, camping, fishing.
Someone that may call me Sunday evening asking me what I'm up to, and won't laugh hysterically if I reply, "watching 60 minutes" (okay, you can giggle a little).
ambient stuff. On the commute, NPR, in the office, iTunes. Road trips, whatever will keep me awake - I've bought all the harry potter books on CD, so I think I could actually drive to the east coast and back.
Pan's Labyrinth was fantastic. Oldies but goodies: Dead Poets Society, Big Blue, Amadeus, Rounders, Highlander, Red Violin, Babe, French Kiss, Raising Arizona, LOTR, and I do have a soft spot for foreign films, especially anything with Gong Li (To Live one of my all time favorites).
Since it's baseball season, ESPN's baseball tonight is a must. Lost. Colbert Report. Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann. 60 minutes (shut up). Other than that, mostly Law & Order reruns, and the Sci-Fi channel (come on, I'm a guy), and I think Youtube rocks. .. width="425" height="350" ..
Right now I'm reading Modern Times, which should take me right to the publishing date of Harry Potter #7. Recent very good reads: Freakonomics, Marley & Me, and Dogs of Babel. My most consistent read is National Geographic and the Economist.
It doesn't take as much as you think to make an impact on someone's life:
