I am here for Friends

About Me

Ok, so I'm no ninja but... I have at least twice caught & released live flies w. my bare hands & have been known to walk between the raindrops.... I must be close to ninjadom in my heart!!! I am super-duper in love w/ the most amazing man!!! So many complications in my life that it can become quite overwhelming at times. But just knowing I have this wonderful man behind me makes me breathe easier, no matter what stresses the day may bring. (sigh) Life is sweet! Thank you, Sean.

My Interests

MUSIC & MOVIES!!!! Absolutely passionate about 'em! Great books. Art. Writing. Toys. Food. Touching myself. Confusing people. DANCING! Even if by myself!

I'd like to meet:

Your mom. WARNING !!!!! DO NOT SEND ME A FRIEND REQUEST W/O LEAVING ME A MESSAGE. YOU WILL BE DENIED!!!

Music:

Tom Waits, Sufjan Stevens, The Blood Brothers, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Jack Johnson, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cold War Kids, The Pogues, The Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, Leonard Cohen, The Decemberists, Phantom Planet, Vivaldi, Green Day, The Stray Cats, The Ramones, Guster, Travis, Keene, Gene Vincent, Elvis, Puccini, Tori Amos, Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Ugly Cassanovas, Explosions in the Sky, Emily Haines, Goldfrapp, Muse, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Bratmobile, Louis Prima, The Rapture, Radiohead, Joanna Newsom, Desaparacidos, The Mars Volta, P-Funk, Louis Armstrong, The White Stripes, The Racontuers, The Strokes, Interpol, Death Cab 4 Cutie, Fiona Apple, Beck, Starlight Mints, Coldplay (pre-Gwyneth!), Rancid, Fugazi, At the Drive-in, Dead Kennedys, Primus, Frank Sinatra, the eels, Moby, Squirrel Nut Zippers, James Brown, Thievery Corporation, Coltrane, Billy Holiday, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Tony Bennett, Velvet Underground, GOMEZ, The Hives, Feist, Regina Spektor, Alkaline Trio, Damien Rice, The Pixies, Son House, Rufus Wainright, Aimee Mann, Blonde Redhead, Neutral Milk Hotel, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Black-Eyed Peas (you heard me), Arcade Fire, Robert Johnson, The Cure, Nick Drake, Gogol Bordello, Mojo Nixon & the Toad Liquors, G-Love & Special Sauce, yodeling.... Ah, I could go on forever...

Movies:

I have a real passion for zombitude. hahaha I think my attraction to zombies stems from my view of the droning masses that share the world w/ the few of us who are a bit more, um, alive... in general! I own zombie flix you've never even heard of!!! I'm a-diggin on those 70's flicks, too... they just don't make 'em like that anymore! Harold & Maude, Being There (or anything w/ Peter Sellers, really), Where's Poppa, The Odd Couple, The In-Laws, The Out-of-Towners, all the Pink Panther movies (originals, people... I refuse to watch those poor-ass remakes!!!) All zombie movies, the good the bad & the repulsive!, ANY Peter Jackson flick. Early Peter Jackson films are some of the most disgusting, most brilliant zombie flicks EVER!!!!! His later films are truly inspirational for their balance of action-packedness w/ the lovely tender moments. Besides being a beautiful cinematic masterpiece Sin City is so fucking hot! Star Wars shite (Jedis turn me on), LOTR (hobbits turn me on), Tarantino flicks, Spirited Away (WOW!!!! Insanely brilliant!), Shaun of the Dead, Y tu Mama Tambien, Igby Goes Down (on me), Secretary, Donnie Darko, Monty Python movies, Charlie Kauffman shit, Wes Anderson films, Robert Rodriguez stuff, John Waters, certain Kubrick flicks, David Lynch, anything w/ Patrick Swayze (just kidding; wanted to see if you're paying attention!), Boondock Saints (of course), Fight Club (goes w/o saying), Rob Zombie shit!!!!!!, oh Christ too many to mention! I watch alotta foreign & indie films, as well. I love a lot of really bad flicks, too! The pride of my collection may well be "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"!!!!! soooo awesomely bad!!!!

Television:

I don't have television... but if I did!!! oh ho ho... I'd be paying for nothing but perhaps a comercialized lobotomy! Tho' I do still love the Brit-coms I grew up a-watchin'

Books:

I've got about 10 dif books in my nightstand I'm in the middle of, but haven't looked at in quite awhile...... Hairy Plotter, 1984, Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, Delta of Venus, Early Diary of Anais Nin (one of 'em), Dracula, Marriage of Heaven & Hell..... eh I forget what else... bullocks!

Heroes:

Frodo Baggins carried out an impossible task against all odds BECAUSE HE KNEW HE HAD TO!!! Anais Nin wrote the only erotica to actually turn me on! And she pretty much pioneered the field for women!! Harry Potter reminds us that being brave does not mean that you're not afraid; you perform the greatest acts of courage when you are ever mindful of the present & looming dangers inherent in & surrounding your actions. Beatrix Potter was a biologist who wrote enduring children's classics. She discovered lichen AND wrote Peter Rabbit! Samwise Gamgee makes me cry. His unswerving loyalty to his friend & master was held above all else in his mind, his actions, his heart. Call me childish if you will, but I find inspiration in places others would tend to scoff at me for (damn those dangling participles). And sometimes, just sometimes... me.I'm awfully proud of my accomplishments on some days. I have a tendency to so rock at times! I have achieved things many times which others thought impossible, extremely unlikey, or just risky as hell! I have brass cahones... wanna see 'em? ;) I pity those who find no inspiration in life.
