About Me

LIFE IS SHORT. EAT DESSERT FIRST.I am an energetic, upbeat person who likes to enjoy life as much as I can. I love my family-- they mean a great deal to me and we try to get together as much as we can, especially for birthdays and holidays.This upcoming year is looking like I will be exploring more of the outdoors-y part of me--rock climbing, hiking, biking, and training to do my first major race (a small 5k in collge doesn't count). If anyone has any tips on training, please let me know. I found one from Runners World, but it's looking like GrEeK to me.I'm also looking to get more of my German fluency back. I was pretty good with it in college (it IS my minor), but since I'm not using it... I would also like to establish more international contacts (other than my hostparents) in hopes to work in Europe in the future.To do list: 1. Rock Climbing (this time-outdoor)2. White Water Rafting (again)3. Snorkeling4. Hiking in the Grand Canyon (again)5. Go back to Germany (for a visit...or to work)6. Swim with Sharks (When are we going, Dalia??)7. Skydiving...I now have someone to do this with...not saying WHEN I'm doing it, cause LORD knows some people that I'm related to will FREAK.8. Run the Broad Street Run in May (I think) and possibly run a half marathon in the fall.9. Learn to Kayak

My Interests

A couple times a week I can be found doing handspring throw-ins and scrapping for the ball during my rec league soccer games-- or playing on my touch football team. I also enjoy camping, hiking, rock climbing (still new to it...),running, biking- well, basically staying active. I also enjoy trying new things-whether it is food, traveling to new places, or doing something with a different twist. I've also been accused of being a beer snob. :o)

I'd like to meet:

Well who wouldn't i want to meet really.....erm that isnt an invite for weird people to stalk me! but it goes without saying that i would love to meet people i chat to but havent met yet. I really have a long list of visits to make when i finish University....gotta love it when you wana be a Britt in America and Canada

Again, eclectic. K.T. Tunstall, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, Green Day, Coldplay, Keith Urban, Shikira, Norah Jones, Foo Fighters, Rascal Flats, Killers, Weezer, Indigo Girls, Modest Mouse, Big &; Rich, Madonna, Dave Matthews, U2, and some fun Gaelic music my sister got me listening to.

Movies:

HATE HORROR MOVIES. Picks include (but not limited to): Zoolander, Monty Python, Shawshenk Redemption, Shrek (I &; II), Pirates of Carribean, Lola Rennt (German) How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Old Bond Movies (Roger Moore &; Sean Connery), any Wallace &; Grommit movies, Blue Collar Comedy Tour (even though it's not really a movie),XXX, ...

Television:

A wee too busy for TV. If I have time, I watch: CSI (any), Grey's Anatomy, a couple shows on PBS, almost whatever my sister has on TV. I have always liked "Are You Being Served" which shows on PBS--Freakin' hiLARious!

Books:

I read just about anything. It depends on what I am in the mood for. Recent picks: Janet Evanovich, Clive Cussler, J.K. Rowling, Julia Quinn, F. Scott Fitzgerald.
