Norbert Honkisch is 27 years old. He
is a talented dj currently living
in Germany. However, due to his Polish descent he tries to visit Poland
and stand behind the decks there whenever he can find time. Since his
childhood he has shown a serious interest in music, which must have
been inspired by the fact that his whole family has been strongly
connected with the world of music for generations. Starting with the
great grandfather, the owner of a factory of pianos, to the
grandfather, the worldwide known tuner of pianos for Steinway &
Sons, to the mother, the teacher of music. When he was 6 years old,
Norbert began to play the piano; at the age of 7 he started attending a
musical primary school. The first time he span the record on the
gramophone was when he tried his skills in hip-hop as a
fourteen-year-old. However, it did not seem to be his vocation and only
the contact with electronic sounds gave him satisfaction. It still is
electronic music that has been giving him both the feeling of
complacency and the feeling of artistic fulfillment . His dreams of
presenting his deep fascination in electronic sounds in front of the
audience have already been fulfilled many times and his performances
behind the decks have always been enthusiastically welcomed by
clubbers. However, playing other djs’ tracks and records does not
satisfy Norbert fully - that is why he keeps on working on his own
productions - for which hopefully we will not have to wait too long.
His sets are full of positive energy and evoke the interest of the
audience. His excellent mixing technique lets him arouse significant
delight among people and by this heat up the atmosphere of every party.
Moreover, it is easy to notice that, while behind the decks, Norbert
does not limit himself to spinning the records only - he simply has fun
along with the audience, which also intensifies the sensations of the
dancers on the floor.
Norbert’s sets do not lack specific character, increasing suspense or
expressive tones and sounds - all the factors which allow him to create
perfect sets.
