My Interests

My family, gardening, music, photography, theater, vacationing, walking, fishing - most things that end in "ing" work fine for me. ;-)

I'd like to meet:

Wouldn't it be more interesting to hear about who I HAVE met? I won't go into detail because I feel some things are better to listen to "IRL" because the stories that go behind these meetings are quite entertaining. Here's my top encounters: Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, Jackson Browne x 5, Carly Simon x 2, Rickie Lee Jones, Nicholas Sparks, Hume Cronyn and my amazing husband and lovely daughters... not necessarily in that order.circa 1988circa 1968 11/10/06 - JT at the Beacon JK Josh R. Ari The Routes JB SK6ers The Routes BT Ari

Music:

Music is my passion. Here's some folks that I've been listening to for 30 years or so... Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Dan Seals, Cat Stevens, Carly Simon, Stevie Nicks and/or Fleetwood Mac, Pousette-Dart Band, The Eagles, John C. Mellencamp, Orleans, Phil Collins, Steve Goodman, Elton, Buffett, Bruce, Bob Seger, CSN & Y, Beth Nielsen-Chapman, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Winwood, Rickie Lee Jones, every single Neville Brother, Bruce Hornsby, Marc Cohn, Steve Miller Band, Little River Band and Poco. Some of my more recent favorites would include: John Mayer, Ben Taylor, the Alternate Routes, Ari Hest, Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, Josh Kelley & his not-so-little bro, Dave Yaden & The Weight, Rob Thomas, Sheryl Crow, Amanda Marshall, Susan Tedeschi, Keri Noble, Tristan Prettyman, Kyle Riabko, Matt York, Venice, Dar Williams, Chris Stills, Matt White(s) (both of 'em, the one from NY and the one in Austin), James Maddock, Isaac Johnson, Keaton Simons, Lady Antebellum, Joshua Radin, Rolla, Tony Lucca, Augustana, Colbie Caillat, A.J. Croce, Mieka Pauley, Jay Nash, the Damnwells and most recently - Matt Woods. --- What John Mayer does in his spare time ;-)

Movies:

Big, Harold and Maude, The Notebook, Elizabethtown, Fried Green Tomatoes, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Raising Helen, Lonesome Dove, Cars, Hoosiers, Field of Dreams, Romancing the Stone, Dances with Wolves, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Charlotte's Web, To Dance with the White Dog and/or anything that Costner, James Earl Jones, Sean Connery, Hume Cronyn, Jessica Tandy, Robert Duvall and Lassie star in.

Television:

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Grey's, The Unit, Brothers & Sisters and Friday Night Lights. However, "24" is my favorite. Jack Bauer rocks my world. I wanna go on an adventure with him (sober) - perhaps in a helicopter or just cruise around Hollywood in one of CTU's over-sized SUVs! And...I truly &hearts SpongeBob!

Books:

Anything written by: Nicholas Sparks, Sue Miller, Larry McMurtry, Anne Tyler, Fannie Flagg, Elizabeth Berg, Annie Proulx and Lisa Wingate. Oh, and I better throw my hubby in there too since he co-wrote a self-help book entitled, "Living Well With Asthma" (with a lot of patience and perserverance from his wife) ;-)

Heroes:

My grandmother "Gram" - for teaching me to love life, myself and music. My father-in-law "Poppy" - who survived two concentration camps, for helping me to keep perspective of what's most important ~ family, friends, faith and the future."When people change your life ~ you remember who they are... Perfection's in perception and it's what you make of it." SKBrandy & her ball ~ circa 1982
