BiographyThe Olsen Twins are the twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, who are American actresses. They are best known for their role as Michelle Tanner on the hit sitcom, Full House (since 1987).The Olsen Twins were born on June 13, 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California with Ashley entering the world just two minutes before her twin sister, Mary-Kate. The twins got their big break when they were just a few months old. Their mother, Jarnette took them to an audition for Full House. The twins were hired after they didn't cry when the producers held them. Both the twins shared the role of Michelle. Along with the success of the sitcom, the Olsen Twins became instant celebrities.The sitcom Full House ran for eight seasons and watching the Olsen Twins grow with each episode endeared them to millions of fans, especially young girls. Soon Full House merchandise such as books and dolls based on Mary-Kate and Ashley was selling like hotcakes.
