Jacinth is a modern hard rock band infused with blues and progressive influences. The voice of Jacinth will remind you of the soft, sensual tones of Nora Jones mixed with the bold, passionate, and dark melodies of Amy Lee. Lyrically, you will go on a journey through the heartfelt and bitter details of unsuccessful relationships, harsh societal judgments, and overcoming the depths of failure.
In May of 2006, guitarist Kevin Lingg approached singer/songwriter Nikki Grayson about an acoustic project. After successfully producing The Mocking Gun and writing several more songs, they expanded their group with the addition of bassist Doug Philbeck and drummer Jack Howe in June of 2007.
Still in its infancy, Jacinth is continuing to write new material, define itself, and looks forward to its future. Preparing to release their debut EP in the Spring of 2008, they are producing, playing local and regional shows, selling merchandise, and creating a following on and offline.
