Hello, my name is Dmytry Friga. I'm musician and composer.
In the first place I would represent my musical project “Friga”. I compose and record all songs by myself thanks to this I can venture not to argue with anybody about what and how to do and also not to be worried about where to find money for recording. That's of no small importance. Lately I invite sessional guitarists and as a result my music has become more interesting. By the way about interesting things. Having played a lot of different kinds of music during my life, I've come to conclusion that it's important not to follow the only one style. A music must be beautiful and interesting first of all that's why during my work I'm trying to get rid off my head thoughts about if they are going to take my music to radio or not. I hope the things you'll listen will pleasure you as they pleasure me.
Now some words about me.
I've been occupied with the music more than 20 years. I'm pianist, conductor of symphonic orchestra and academic chorus after my education (although unfortunately I managed to conduct with my great pleasure only a couple of dozen times). To have all these marks in my diploma I had to finish musical school, then college and university. At the same time I participated in “The Ravens” band. For this project I composed music, wrote verses and played keyboards. It was a rather popular project for teenagers and youth, but fortunately not to a certain degree of even germs of big headedness. But what is more important is that in the 2 nd album of “The Ravens” (“Reflection”) I tried myself as a soundman, I recorded and combined the whole album by myself. It was not unsuccessful experience which seemed very captivating for me and the next several years I spent at different radio stations, so to say, perfecting my skills.
After my graduation from university I worked for 2 years at FM radio station “Stalitsa” as a broadcast and production studio soundman. There was extremely much work and I had almost no time for relax. During my work at “Radio BA” and its branch establishment radio station “Melodies of the century” I prepared an original music design for dozens of broadcasts, jingles and lots of advertising clips. I fear to count how many of them I made. But, nevertheless I had time to play simultaneously in a group “Lubov i Sport”. I mixed several compositions for them as well.
After that I fortunately realized that radio is crafty thing and I had nothing to strive for. I realized it by myself and keeping working I started to seek out another occupation. The most suitable thing for me at that moment was music for advertisements. It took comparatively short time for me to give guidance or, as they write in serious newspapers, earn popularity and confidence of the most important advertising agencies and their customers. Among the others there were “Velcom”, “Gefest”, “Beltelecom” (“By Fly”), “Gudok”, “Milavitsa”, “Alivariya”, “Emir” casino, “Grill Brothers” and others (see “Music” section). I composed, arranged and even played music compositions for their advertising clips and companies.
At the same time as an invited musician I took part and still do it in studio and concert projects “Tyani-Tolkai”, “Neo”, “Klendaik”.
I think as of interesting work about my recent cooperation with Andrei Kureichik (“Love-Carrot”, “Paradise Lost”). I composed music for his play “Illusion”. We composed it in co-authorship with Andrei Markutz.
Also I had an experience in working on the sphere of electronic and club music. We had a rather good duet: “dj Coma & Friga”. We recorded 2 compositions: “Naughty And Nice” and “I Want”. In the album “Smoking beat” of dj Pasha Joint I set for mastering.
