Grew up in the 70's...Enchanted Wood (Enid Blyton), Treasure Island & Kidnapped (Robert Louis Stevenson), A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens), Dracula (Bram Stoker) as well as the topper, beezer, dandy, beano, whizzer and chips, eagle comics and starburst magazine. In the 80's...the intellectual side came in...Doctor Who novels, Tin Tin, Asterix & role playing game books. Comics wise moved up to Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Secret Wars, Transformers, 2000ad, scream and Look-in, Smash Hits & starburst magazines (still). In the 90's a fascination with horror was born...Red Dragon & Silence of the Lambs (Thomas Harris), and books by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Bentley Little, PJ Tracy, Michael Crichton and many more. Even though in my 20's...I still read Batman, Aliens & Terminator comics. Magazine wise...moved up to SFX, Empire, Total Film, FHM, Dreamwatch, Buffy magazine, X-files magazine, X-Pose and still Starburst. In the present decade...still love books surrounding horror...Dean Koontz still and many others. No comics anymore, but magazine wise, pretty much the same..SFX, Total Film, Sci Fi Now, Deathray, Bizarre, Empire, Tv & Film memorabilia but give up on Starburst...too expensive!
Heroes:
The lil petal bud...a wonderful hero of a son of my now ex-girlfriend...Oliver..6 years old in July!!...love him very much! Miss him! At the age of 1 he had a cerebral haemmorage and lives with cerebral palsy...although he fights and wins with his wonderful determination and a smile that will melt the coldest of hearts! A very big hero!Oh and be there one who holdeth my heart and future? Be they past? or present?...I have loved my past girlfriends very much, Gemma (Olivers Mom) I still love very much...but through circumstance...did not work...wish it had...loved her and miss her too! I adore many people in my life right now...some have a lil of my heart in their hands and I do hope that a magic happens and one of these wonderful friends may be the one whom I can love and be with for my remainder of this life and into my next life...or is it someone not yet in my life? If so...come on...I need to be in love again...It hurts without it!!
