I have grown up in Europe (Scotland and France), on the East Coast and pretty much traveled all over the world, with some phenomenal life experiences along the way, but decided to finally settle it down in San Diego where the sun always shines.
Growing up abroad it only makes sense that I love soccer, lacrosse and open-water swimming. It is also the reason I travel, get the hell out of the country and discover new countries and new friends every six months.
I love doing Pilates, marathon swimming, and learning new languages. And I can talk shop on history, politics, music, and most things that aren't truly boring. (I have everything from Beethoven to Beastie Boys on the iPod, and I'm not afraid to use it).
I cherish people who continually work on improving themselves but who don't flaunt their accomplishments, ie. those who speak softly but carry a BIG stick. Unless you already know, I won't tell you what I do for a living, and don't care what you do or what you drive. I have friends who are pretty close to billionaires and those who are poor, starving artists or environmental crusaders, and I love them all. In other words, I am REAL, and my feet are planted firmly on the ground, even if my goals are somewhere between the stratosphere and the sun.
What I don't do are ignorant, superficial or flaky people. Bring me some intelligence and substance or don't waste my time, ie. if your heroes are hollywood celebrities, we will not get along.
I love what I do for a living and especially that I get free time to pursue everything I want to accomplish since I have many, many goals (perhaps too many) underway. My passions are open-water swimming, skiing, soccer, skydiving, lacrosse, travel, travel, travel, music (esp. Chopin), and riding the motorbike along the trails and the beach.
I appreciate intelligence in people. But most importantly, I'm big on trust. It is a greater compliment to be trusted than to be loved.
