BIOGRAPHY
Anna Kachemir
Is a Visionary, an Entrepreneur, a active Activist, a Socialist, a Manager and a proud Mother. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, she now lives in Paris, France, where she has been living for the past 16 years.
Since her early childhood, Anna was interested in The Arts in general enjoying music, movies, dance, painting and fashion. With a father originally from Algeria and a mother from Finland, she is by nature an open minded person at the crossroad of cultures, influences, music and people. As her father was a DJ in Paris during the late 60s, the family had a lot of music at home, including a big vinyl collection containing all kinds of music from Donna Summer to Bob Marley, Grand Master Flash, Funkadelic and Prince.
Anna has an Eclectic soul and she is in tune with the modern world and its many diversities. She is always on the lookout for talent and likes to travel and meet people. This is reflected in her rosta of artistes many of whom are from outside of France.
Even though she studied for 4 years at an Architecture School in Paris, Anna ended up working at Virgin / Emi Records for 6 years as a webmaster, where she participated in and contributed to the creation of the website: www.emi.fr.
In 2007 she created the management company “Paris Plan B†based in Paris, and specializing in marketing talent and business development. The Company has a wide range of clients from fashion, music, and television. Their mission is to provide a seamless solution to create a bridge between creativity and business.
Managing artistes is her way of making the music and all it brings.
Anna worked on a documentary on the history of French Hip-Hop that present various activists and practitioners of Hip-Hop culture in France from the early 1980s until today. Amongst those participating in the documentary are, Graffiti Artists, Dancers, Singers, Journalists, Record Labels, Wears, Websites, DJs, Photographers and Entertainment Promoters.
Anna regularly organizes parties, concerts and exhibitions using the Paris Plan B company and working alongside other Parisian promoters. Together they create various thematic events in different Parisian establishments and Anna uses these events to promote both known and unknown artists including Singers, Rappers, DJs, Painters and Photographers.
Anna is also planning to organize a forum in Paris for Professionals and Associations in Hip Hop. She intends to gather in the same place and at the same time associations and companies who have interests in urban-wear, music, webzines, fanzines, books, magazines, TV shows, websites, Major Record Labels, Independent Record Labels, radio stations, and dance groups for a global presentation. The idea is to provide a forum where people can exchange views. A participant-friendly platform, which also has a important social-networking aspect.
