KENNY AND G-MAN(DA CEO's)G-Man Management L.L.C is known in Virginia as a successful management company and it is starting to experience national recognition.
G-Man Management L.L.C was started in 2000 by George aka “GMAN†Waters, CEO, and Kenny Minnard, Co-CEO. A few years later, Ronnie Ferebee was brought into the company as the head A&R of the company.
The company has made its name over the years from the successful management of over 15 artists and the establishment of a publishing company, called We Want In Publishing L.L.C which is a subsidiary of G-Man Management, in 2006. G-Man Management L.L.C also deals with artist development, promotions, as well as consulting with various local artists outside of the GMAN family.
Over the past seven years the company’s goal has been to stay consistent with every thing they do from shows, media exposure, mix tapes etc with the current roster within the company. Because of this, fans can expect at least five mix tapes and over 20 shows a year from the G-Man Management L.L.C camp.
G-Man Management LLC; is most known for their local showcases that they have eight to 10 times a year. The purpose of these showcases is to help other local Virginia artists, along with the current GMAN roster (Contamination, Sil, C3, Rebirth, Dot R, and DJ Busta), show off their talent.
In March 2007, G-Man Management L.L.C, along with their artists Sil and Contamination, were the first to appear on the nationally distributed All Access Street Credibility DVD. However, this is not the first time that these artists have experienced national fame. G-Man Management has also had previous acts opened for hip hop legends Slick Rick and Kool G. Rap.
C3, the group that has been with G-Man Management the longest, received the 2005 Urban Independent Music Award (UIMA) for Best Hip Hop Artist of the Year in Washington D.C. The group is also working with Magic Johnson and Divine Entertainment to headline the Magic 32 promotional tour.
Contamination’s first mix tape, Source of Sickness, debuted to rave reviews and moved over 4,200 units throughout Virginia.
G-Man Management L.L.C also has a production team that consists of Rebirth, Dot R, and DJ Busta. All of these producers have laid tracks for all of G-Man Management current artists as well as other local VA talent.
G-Man Management L.L.C last dropped a mix tape in August 2007 which was the G-Man Management L.L.C compilation CD entitled The Family Reunion. Now, in March 2007, the company is “Back to Business†with its newest edition, Sil, and his much anticipated mixtape due out in March 2007.
