Located in the landmark district of Ditmas Park Brooklyn, Newkirk Studios provides musicians with a professional 48-track digital recording / mixing facility and comfortable working environment. Built on the ground floor of a turn of the century neoclassical revival mini-mansion, clients have often remarked that while recording at Newkirk Studios they feel as if they’re transported out of New York City, although it is only half an hour from downtown Manhattan.
Newkirk Studios was conceived and designed to meet the needs of today’s rock bands. From “Indie†to radio ready “Pop Rockâ€, all aesthetics can be captured here. Newkirk Studios is also perfect for singer-songwriter projects. Whether the songs are fully arranged, or in earlier stages of development; in-house producer Ben Rice can help bring them to fruition. We also have an extensive list of contacts should you need additional musicians to play on your session.

BOOKING & RATES
Newkirk Studios is owned and operated by musicians and we are committed to helping fellow musicians realize their visions. We can work with you to put together a recording package that is right for both your music and your budget. When you contact us, please have the following information available so that we can get a complete picture of your project.
What kind of music do you make? Will you be bringing in a complete band? How many songs will you be recording? What is the project for; a demo, an EP, an LP? Is it a DIY project or for a label? Do you have any specific equipment or instrument needs? How much time do you think you need? What is your budget?
If you would like to book studio time by the hour, rates are as follows:
$35 per Hour (Minimum 3 Hours)
$275 per 8-Hour Day (Advance Lock-out)
$325 per 10-Hour Day (Advance Lock-out)

We highly recommend backing up your sessions. The best way to do this is on your own hard drive, but if you don't have a hard drive we can burn DVDs of your session for $5 per DVD.
Please remember that your session starts at the time you booked it to start, not the time that you arrive and although we try to be accomodating (we're musicians too!), we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to have the session run over time. Also, please remember that lunch or coffee breaks are "on the clock" and that we cannot give you extra time at the end of the day to "make up" for this.
