Emiliano Ortiz

About Me

Since the age of 14, Emiliano has gigged and recorded with a persistence rarely found in today's fragmented music industry culture. Emiliano's guitar playing has helped to define, both musically and stylistically, his various projects, including his first band The Sellouts , Reckless Sons and his current band Surefire . During some downtime from his work with these bands, Emiliano found the time to branch out, writing and recording a collection of solo tunes at Newkirk Studios with Ben Rice ( The Mooney Suzuki , Reno Bo , Change the Station ) a fellow Surefire bandmate. The tunes sparkle with veteran songcraft, lush melodies, and a subtle garage rock ethos. Indeed, Emiliano has arrived. The album is available worldwide on iTunes and various other digital retailers, but can be downloaded for free here at emilianoortiz.com for a limited time. A physical release is scheduled to follow shortly.
