I'm satisfying my thirst for creative expression through patchwork, jewelry, painting, sketching, macramé and whatever else may catch my eye (hopefully metal working when I get the right space!) The last thing I want is for these artistic outlets to turn into a "job" ~ I already have one of those and one is certainly enough! I was worried that the "job" mentality was starting to take over my creative realm ~ I began thinking 'I need to' and 'I should' instead of 'I want to'. It’s hard to feel inspired when pressuring oneself to make make make (and to make something amazing at that). Fortunately, by switching mediums and trying new techniques that self-constraint has passed and I'm incredibly happy watching new pieces come to life.
