The Master of all djs aka The Detroit Master aka Felton aka Fellefell

About Me

Who am I, that is a very complex question. I am not only fellefell, I am Felton Howard. A man that refuses to let age be a factor in what i do or say.For some that know me, they of course only know the dj side of me. That alone is complex.First and foremost, for my age, I have seen and heard more than most think that i have. From the early days of my life, I had the opportunity to experience the sounds from the southern parts of American. The sounds of former slaves, in the field houses. I heard the sounds of chanting, foot stomping for beats when no drums were available. The sounds of rejoicing, and the sounds of moaning. The music of the black church. The Singing included. All the way up until today, these sounds are still a part of me and will never leave. It is the sounds of my culture. Raw, with nothing added. As the years go by, trends tend to add more to what was original, and then called a certain genre. To me it is still foot stompin music. My love for music goes even deeper.Music, to me, will always be my method of rejoicing, my escape, my hiding place. Yes, I get lost in music. From where I come from, music is the best place to hide.If cannot rejoice with music while i live, then what's the point.Yes, my peers, would understand what rejoicing through music means. If it is too complexed for you, just take time and hit me up. I am really not that complexed to have a conversation.Special respect to those djs that have paved the way along with myself in the Detroit Metro area before it was fashinable to be a dj. Ken Collier, Dwayne Bradley, Tyrone Bradley, Charles Hicks, John Collins, Tiger Dan, Stacey Hale, Dale Willis (the person that gave Jeff Mill his chance, Larry Jefferson, Jimmy Lockhart, Dwayne Montgomery, Elton "Clyde Weathers, Don Collins, Cowboy, Melvin Hill Steve Nader, Randy Schafer, Don Oak. There may be a few names that i might have not mentioned. Please forgive me for that. These and a few more are the djs including myself helped to shape what we have in the detroit area now. All of these peole where in the middle of it during the 70's through the 90's. These are the djs that took the first steps for Kraftwerk, David Bowie, Yellow Magic Orchestra, and all the sounds that were not found on the radio, the chance to be heard in the Detroit area. These same djs played the parties that were attened by the few that make the claims that they started whatever, as if we were never there. When most of the youngsters were calling the music that we played progressive, we just called it dancemusic. We did it, not to be superstars but because we love music and the people that danced to what we played.Wanna learn some history about me, my friends and the dance scene of detroit???
