Jay Rogers, born Jonathan Rogers on October 8, 1988 is an American singer/songwriter/producer. He is also the co-CEO of SuMtHyN kRuChAl EnTeRtAiNmEnT alongside CEO, one of his best friends, Mel. S.K.E was started off as an idea by Mel in October 2006. Mel and Jay Rogers made the idea a reality in November 2006. He started singing in the youth choir at his church when he was seven years old. Jay Rogers has been writing poetry since he was ten years old. It's amazing. While working on a project for science class back in the seventh grade alongside his best friend in the world, Mela, he discovered he could sing. He did not realize and would not have ever realized his talent for writing songs if it wasn't his friends that he met while attending Barton College in '06. Shellz, Mel, Sherron, Lisa, Lymp, Ashley W., Esty, Vic (Video Vixen), and Nisha have all supported him in his work. "Gotta Go" and "Gotta Go Remix" ft. Cand-I and Shane were Jay Rogers' first singles. Although he has written many songs before then it was the first that he had ever performed. Jay Rogers has also co-written the song "I Miss U" with fellow record label mates Shellz and Mel. Jay Rogers is currently working hard writing songs to prepare for the release of S.K.E.'s first mixtape in 2008. Jay Rogers is not expected to leave his roots of S.K.E if a major label does decide to sign him. If he gets signed then they ALL get signed. (Mel) On Jay Rogers' first solo album we can expect to hear collabs from ALL of his record label mates! Until then he will continue to write, co-write, sing, produce, and help Mel manage S.K.E. Jay Rogers is working hard with Ebony on new singles.........be on the lookout for them. Jay Rogers strives to only better himself through his music. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the support of his family, his mom Willistine Rogers and his sister Tinesha Rogers. They have always been there even when no one else was.
