I'd like to meet:
New & Old Friends&Tay Zonday!!
Music:
Like most people, I will pretty much listen to anything... there's so much good and bad music out there that it's hard to limit yourself to one genre. I don't usually listen to country but have learned not to insult it, unless I'm talking to Laura and just want to piss her off. I'm always up for listening to new music even if it's in a different language... I'm sometimes surprised at how much I can like a song that I don't really know the meaning to. =P
Here's a sampling of some of my favorite bands: Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, OutKast, The Dresden Dolls, Radiohead, NIN, The Get Up Kids, The Deftones, The Killers, Shakira, Bjork, Foo Fighters, Dashboard Confessional, Thursday, Franz Ferdinand, The Beatles, Metallica, U2, Stretch Arm Strong, Travis, Keane, Apollo Sunshine, Saves the Day, The Strokes, Mae, A Perfect Circle, Mr. Bungle, The White Stripes, Iron Maiden, Jude, and Refused.
Movies:
I'm kind of a geek so you won't be surprised that I'm madly in love with all of the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies. The Star Wars and X-Men movies will always have a special place in my heart. I'm also a big fan of period films and anything based on a Shakespeare play. Band of Brothers is a mini series but it's definitely one of my favorites. I know there are a lot more movies I love but I could never list them all... old Disney movies are great and so are any movies featuring the Brat Pack. The Princess Bride and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Tiger are also favorites.
Television:
I hardly watch television anymore but when I do I watch LOST because it's amazing! I still love Sex & The City, Golden Girls, Gargoyles and Coupling (the British version, not the crappy ABC Remake).
Books:
Too Many to list but here's a start: I live for Tolkien and all the Harry Potter Books; Anything Vonnegut is lovable but Slaughterhouse Five was my first and favorite; Idylls of the King, Jane Eyre, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Till We Have Faces, The Count of Monte Cristo, Emma, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Everything is Illuminated and The Great Gatsby are also a few of my favorites... I've also just read The Perks of Being a Wallflower -- anyone who's been to highschool in the past decade should read this! It was an awesome book!
Heroes:
My Mamma, she's an insane little foreigner but she's done amazing things in her life
