RECORD PLAYERZ takes place every Thursday at the Glasgow School Of Art and host the Vic Bar’s most successful clubbing event of the last 10 years.
Without dishonest hype or leaching off the fame of budget-busting guests to inflate its reputation, the club has sold out week after week providing Scotland with one of its most exciting resident based club events.
Its an eye popping explosion of 80's pop-art visuals and an ear-otic orgasm of super-diverse digital rhythms for an audience of pre-weekend clubbers who really should have better things to do on a Friday morning.
But 800 people regularly decide to call in sick, miss lectures, stand up lovers, ignore parents and generally attempt to escape their mundane lives in order to lose themselves in the weekly crowd-crushing madness that is Record Playerz.
Three resident djs are responsible for over five years of hang-overs, come downs, one night stands, of make-up smudging and clothes ripping, toilet fights and bar brawls, and of course hours of deafening, delinquent, dancefloor delirium!
We are proud to help you all stumble out into the cold night air every week, drunk and piss stained with yet another brand new H&M outfit ruined - yet feeling just a little bit cheerier about this life of ours, that little bit closer to finding our voices and taking courage in wearing, saying and doing whatever the fuck we want for that short time in our lives when it matters MORE THAN ANYTHING.
