CHRISTOPHER SFETAS was born in Brighton , England . His Mum is English and his Dad is Greek. Chris started karate at a very young age, in fact he was just 3 years old, when he would travel with his dad Sensei George Sfetas to his various clubs and watched while his dad taught. He had a karate suit made because in those days such small sizes could not be bought, he used to love joining in and copying what the older ones did; in a short time it became clear he had talent. It was during the late 70s and early 80s that Chris became well known on the karate circuit. His dad George was the European Co- coordinator for the PKA and was traveling all over England , Europe and the USA , organising and promoting kickboxing. It was at this time that George put together a demonstration featuring himself and Chris together, they put on a fantastic display of karate and kickboxing that has never been equalled . Chris has done demonstrations with legends like Hee ill Cho, Bill Wallace, Chuck Norris and Joe Lewis. Chris moved to Athens Greece when he was 9 years old and started making martial arts movies. He made 13 in all, and they all made the No 1 best selling video list. He was also on TV in Greece playing different acting roles. All this and at the same time he was able to become the Semi contact Greek Champion, and the KATA all styles Champion. Since his return to the UK he helps Sensei George Sfetas run the Southern Academy of Martial arts (SAMA) in the Southern area of England.
