Originally from Philadelphia, Leigh spent her first few years in Los Angeles in Rock Star 101 as a main bartender at LA's premier rock breeding ground, the Troubadour. She is now a professional model. She was not created by producers of a "reality" show, or assembled in a "Franken-Popstar" type laboratory in sunny Florida. She honed her craft on the mean streets of Philadelphia using a trial-by-fire regiment to develop her incredible voice, stage presence, and songwriting skills. Instead of aspiring for a slot on the Mickey Mouse Klub, she packed-up and moved to LA. Instead of singing live to a DAT, she formed a kick-ass live band, The Bitterthings. Within a few shows, Hollywood was abuzz about the new-kid-in-town, and soon after she was working on a debut EP with the respected musical forces of Tommy Stinson, (Replacements, Guns n' Roses) Chris Vrenna, (Nine Inch Nails) John Dolmayan, (System of a Down) Mark Blasquez, (Line 6) and Bill Kennedy. this first CD was titled, Catfight Since, she has worked with legendary producer/songwriter Kim Fowley, Lucky 7, Shaun Kama (Damnation, Blood Junkies), former bandmates Cordell Crockett(Ugly Kid Joe), Bryce Martin(Damone), and many others including vocals for the debut CD of the Line (Volcom). Leigh'self titled 2nd CD was completed in June 2003. All 6 songs on this CD were licensed and appeared on the MTV original series: Surf Girls, Camp Jim and Laguna Beach This second EP was co-produced by Leigh and Sean O'Dwyer. (Sum 41, Blink 182, Fenix TX, Strife, and the GoGo's.) Leigh's latest project is an all grrl power pop band called Dragstrip Kitty The demo began as a follow up CD for the Bitterthings but all directions changed when Leigh's boyfriend, Roxy Michaels (The Undead (ex Misfits) ,Marky Ramone Band, Texas Terri Bomb) passed away Thanksgiving 2005. The project was renamed as a tribute to Roxy The Dragstrip demo was recorded at Interscope records with Gina Schock (The GoGo's) producing as well as playing drums. Engineered by Jose Alcantar (Interscope) Mixed By Grammy award winner, Pete Novak (Outkast) The Demo also includes a track by EMI songwriter, Jimmy Harry (Britney Spears, Fischer Spooner, Kimberly Clarkson, Ashlee Simpson, Skye Sweetnum) after a project she worked on with Jimmy, Ben Groff (EMI) and Steffy(Steffy) Dragstrip Kitty just appeared in a national commercial for Six Flags Magic Mountain It was taped in January 2007 and will run for 1 year DSK is also proud to be a part of an upcoming Betty Blowtorch tribute compilation CD performing the song "No Integrity".
