This myspace serves as a loving reminder and legacy of The Dou-Tapps who are no longer together, but please feel free to enjoy the songs they leave behind and let the music live on. The Dou-Tapps came about when Dave Wright, Dave Dukes, Gareth Noble, Edi Robbin and Barry Thomson all met at college in September 2006. They got together to play some tunes together thinking that they would be playing cover songs, one of which they still play, however Gareth brought with him a guitar riff to work around and since that moment Dave W and Edi have been putting their heads together to write for the band. Within the first two months of being together the band had come up with a set of 6 original songs and 1 cover to play live to their fans. But the song writing didn’t stop there, there’s always new songs in the pipeline being added to the set so there will always be something different to hear when you see us.The music is upbeat, happy, dance to music with catchy riffs, rhythms and lyrics that can uplift the most solemn of soles. With the band members coming from extremes of musical styles they come together well to create their own sound both on and off the stage as they also record and produce their own music.The band are out to spread their music to the world and bring the fun back into music, you’ll enjoy them both live and recorded as the high standards are always lived up to.Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor
