NEWS UPDATE! - 11/20/2007
NEW MYSPACE, NEW PICS, NEW MUSIC AND BIG NEWS!!
Hey everyone!
It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I've been really busy, writing songs, recording and getting ready to release my first album. We've got a bunch of songs done, and a digital album will be posting on itunes in February, and I'm trying to get my full album done by June.
Also, check out the music player, I just uploaded a Christmas song for you, you can download it and play it thru the holidays! The album cover is available to download as well in the picture section. Oh, yeah, I also finally got around to posting 30 new pictures I did in June up in New York, two days of shooting! Check those out.
I'm also going to be posting two live tracks here in a week or two that I recorded this fall in Houston. (The record company is waiting for clearances and stuff still.) So you will also have a couple of free live tracks to download just in time for the holidays as well. I've also been writing a couple of songs lately that I am recording and I'll post some demos here as well in the coming week or two. Lot's going on!
Those of you up on facebook should check out my new musician profile, I'll be posting stuff there as well from time to time. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=6282421593
Have a great holiday season! Thanks!
WILL
P.S. Lots of questions about the pictures. The waterfall/ dam ones were taken at Croton Dam Park in Westchester County, NY, about an hour north of NYC. (Yes, I was in the water!) The other ones were taken in Chappaqua, NY (also in Westchester), where I sometimes record at Double Deal Studios.

MY SINGLE IS ON ITUNES!!
Hey everyone! I'm in Orlando with my school choir right now, we're performing this weekend! I'm also going to be performing my new single at a private function in front of 15,000 high school and collage students, so I'm really excited about this weekend.
But THE AMAZING NEWS is that my single is now on itunes! "I Won't Make It Out" is my first single. It was produced by Jim McGregor and Peter Moshay, and recorded at A Pawling Studios and Double Deal Studios in New York. The song was written by Scott Harris, Sal Giancarelli and myself right before Thanksgiving last fall.
So you can pick it up over at itunes, and most other stores like Wal*Mart.com and Napster should also have it already or in the next couple of days. I'm working on chosing the final songs for my album right now, and I'm gonna head back to New York City just as soon as I can to finish up the album. We're mixing the first ballad right now. I'll get it up on myspace as soon as it's done, and on itunes as soon as I can!
Thanks for your support, this is a day I've been looking forward to for a year. Thanks!
WILL

WATCH MY BILLBOARD PERFORMANCES!
Hey everyone, Check out my two live videos from NYC last month below. The record company kept the other song "Tryin' To Get Back" under wraps until we release the official version. (Next time I'm up in NYC I'll run around the halls at Double Deal, bursting into people's offices and begging them to post it! That worked for the single last time, didn't it!?!)
ALSO, thanks to everyone who is voting for me and requesting me at Idolwaves.com, I cannot believe I debuted at 19 first week! Thanks to all of you! Keep up the requests, and keep requesting Ayla as well, she goes to national radio next week!

WILL'S BIOGRAPHY:
Eighteen-year-old Will Makar may still be a high school senior, but his experience as a performer is well beyond his years. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Will is currently wrapping up the recording his first album and has just released his debut single "I Won't Make It Out."
During his sophomore year in high school, he auditioned for American Idol’s fifth season in August of 2005 and quickly became one of America’s favorites. Once the season began airing, Will moved on through the auditions, making it through Hollywood week and to the top 24!
Will appeared before more than 30 million viewers on American Idol three times a week until he was eliminated from the show on March 9, 2006. He finished as the eighth male vocalist out of tens of thousands who auditioned that season. Upon elimination, Simon Cowell said “You handled yourself like a gentleman. What ever you go into, you’re going to do well. I like you.†Will told Fox News "Music is what I love to do, I love everything about music. That's what I''m gonna do, I'm gonna pursue it."
Will Makar was a member of the Houston Children’s Chorus from 1996-2003. His HCC singing experiences took him around the world, and included performances at the 1997 Economic Summit, at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and the American/Japanese Summit in Hiroshima, Japan. Will also had the opportunity to perform for three US Presidents (George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush), and to perform as a backup singer for Celine Dion during her 1999 "Let's Talk About Love" tour. He has studied voice with Tom McKinney (Beyonce) and was named to the 2006 Texas All State Choir.
Since returning from Idol, Will has made literally hundreds of personal and concert appearances. In the past year he has performed the National Anthem for the Houston Astros, Dynamos, and Texans, The Greenbay Packers at Lambeau Field, and at the Westside Men’s Clay Court Finals. He was guest soloist with the Houston Symphony’s Star Spangled Salute on July 4th, 2006, appeared on The Super Idol Tour in October, 2006.
Will is currently in the process of completing his first CD in New York with Double Deal Brand Records. Will has co-written many of the tracks for his album, with other songs being written by Gordon Kennedy (Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks), Wayne Kirkpatrick (Babyface, Bonnie Raitt), Billy Mann (Teddy Geiger, Pink) and Benny Mardones. The album is being produced by Jim McGregor (Ayla Brown) and Peter Moshay (Hall & Oates, Mariah Carey.)
His debut album is due in stores in early 2008 on Double Deal Brand Records. The label features American Idol Season 5 finalist Ayla Brown, Kansas City Celtic-rock legends The Elders, and Nashville's Brother Henry, featuring producer David Henry. The releases are available at all national retail stores and at all digital stores online.
Will's debut single "I Won't Make It Out" was co-written by Will and New York singer/ songwriter Scott Harris, leader of The Scott Harris Project. It is currently available at itunes and all other digital stores online.
