TAYDOE Biography
Director/Video Producer
Dontay "TAYDOE" Kidd was born and raised on rough streets of Compton, CA. He was his mother's first and only son. Growing up around all of the negativity and faced with much adversity, he somehow made it out. He was involved with rapping at an early age and have performed on many stages. However, he did not feel the desire to pursue a rap career. Similar to many inner-city youth, he was in and out of trouble and had early problems. However, he was able to finish school and get accepted into college. While attending college at San Diego State University he continued performing, but began pursuing video production more. He started directing intro videos to his stage performances. Before giving up rapping, Taydoe was able to perform in London, England and record a music video. His college endeavor resulted in a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.
Shortly after moving back to LA, he decided to establish "Memories Gone Digital". A company to provide video services for weddings, anniversaries, parties, etc. He has produced many DVDs for families and organizations in the Los Angeles area. While Starting with Adobe Premiere, he shortly after began working with Final Cut Pro. He can thank his quick grasp of Final Cut Pro to reading many books, sitting in with many great editors and studying the art.
In late 2005, he decided to take his skills and creative mind to the next level. Inspired by his long time friend "The Game", he invested in equipment to build his in-house studio. Taydoe put in long hours studying the art of directing and editing. His eagerness to learn and dedication earned him to be stamped by "The Game" as the offical Black Wallstreet (BWS) video producer. He has been working on BWS projects to be released. His first big project was assisting with the editing of the "Stop Snitching, Stop Lying" DVD. After thorough research in directing and production, he started his video production company, Taydoe Productions. His first big independent project was DJ Skee's Envy Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. He has directing a music video for a San Diego based R&B artist, Adrian Marquis. He displays the dedication and determination to make it to the top in this Directing/Video Production field. TAYDOE has and continues to strive to solidify his place as a prestigious director and producer in the entertainment industry. He definitely has the creative mentality and drive to make it happen.
