If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear

About Me

I created this page mainly as somewhere to upload articles I write (usually on *serious face* socio-political issues) and maybe post links to material by people far more dedicated than me.
At the same time, I will be promoting the pioneering Manchester drum n bass collective that is D.FaZed - look out for some big forthcoming D.FaZed nights in Manchester.
I don't DJ but am teaching myself to produce tunes using Reason 3, Cubase SX etc. Got into dnb a few years ago through the likes of Dillinja, Hype and Origin Unknown, but prefer more techy stuff these days. As a drummer, I'm generally into well designed beats and just anything innovative really. Producers like Dom n Roland, Calyx, Teebee, Noisia...the list goes on. I'm open to anything though.
When not engaging in these and other extra-curriculur activities, I study English Lit at Leeds Met and have surrendered my soul to Northern Rock Plc as of 4 days ago, due to imminent monetary deficiencies. (No, I haven't got a loan, I'm selling them :|)
I had something published last year on ID Cards (see my blog), and am working on a few more things (honest!). I also had some semi-plausible ideas for direct action in support of government transparency on the 7/7 tragedy and possibly some surreal anti-corporate mischief but none of it has gone much further than the pub so far. Feel free to plot and scheme with me at your leisure.
I have always harboured feelings of healthy suspicion and outright disgust towards myspace (owned by that harmless institution News International), and probably the majority of its users. But, in the interests of social survival and in the hope of resisting corporate design in some small way, I have shamelessly embraced the phenomenon in all its filthy Murdochian glory.
