Life is so short, but it can be as sweet as you make it. And it's really simple - what you give out,

About Me

I'm real straight forward - what you see is what you get. Just wanna be happy; I like happy people - not happy 'ha-ha', but people who are optimistic and see the good in people before the bad.LOVE clothes - but HATE shopping! And I'm not a fashion victim. I shop like a boy - go in, get what I want then I'm out again. You won't find me trawling the streets for a bargain or during the sales (God forbid!) down Oxford Street on a Saturday afternoon - that's my worst nightmare. I've gotten some of the best stuff from catalogues and on-line shops.I'm pretty easy-going and laid back - don't like stress - will only get stressed if it's my last option! And dislike people who 'worry my soul'.

My Interests

I play the alto saxaphone; not brilliantly anymore, because I don't practice like I should (hi Ox!), but I dabble every now and again... I'm doing an interior design course at the moment - loving it, but it's hard to find the time when you work 10-11 hour days. Need to do something to stimulate me artistically, so this is good. I enjoy running - I did the 'Great South' 10 mile run last October. What a rainy, crazy day it was!! Recently started yoga - Bikram (hot) yoga - not for the faint hearted that's all I can say - but I absolutely love it! Thanks for introducing me to it Rochelle. :o)I love driving, love my car - reckon I'm a pretty good driver too. :o) Me in my car with my music playing - that's me in my element - cos I LOVE music.

I'd like to meet:

GOD, one day. Hopefully I will, but I'm in no rush!

Music:

Never really had a favourite artist or group - don't follow things to that extreme. When I was younger and everyone was feelin' Jodeci, I was like - yeah, yeah they're cool, but I don't need to see them in concert or buy all their albums. Which is why I've never been to a live concert before!!??? Just never appealed... one day though...I'm feelin' Busta - 'The Big Bang' was crazy and probably the best album of 2006 for me. Keisha Cole is laying down some heavy tunes too. Nathan is doing crazy things in the UK - he's super talented and I support him all the way!! Also like a li'l bit of 50, and Mary J is always consistent. As for Cool James - 'I need Love' was such a heavy duty tune back in the day. I like his easy beats and laid back style of rappin'.But this is by no means exhaustive - I also LOVE Tupac, Lauryn Hill's flava, Nas, Jaheim, Joe, Donnell Jones, Musiq, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Lucy Pearl, Nat King Cole - he has THE most velvety voice. I'm also feelin' Stevie Wonder and I like old skool jams like - Kool and the Gang's 'Get Down On it' and all the stuff off the "Pure Grooves" album... I like anything that sounds good to me.

Movies:

Like I said, not really one for 'favourite' films, favourite artist etc, but loved 'Con Air' and 'Face off' - think Nicholas Cage is a great actor! 'Grease' - yeah I know it's cheesy, but I don't care... 'Ronin'. I know people always say 'Shawshank Redemption' - but that film is truly class. 'City of God','American History X','Fight Club', 'The Best Man', 'Meet Joe Black'...

Television:

Don't really watch much T.V - left all the soaps behind a while back - takes up too much time, when there's not enough time in the day! Plus it annoys me the way everyone is always so miserable in soaps... LOVED 'Prison Break' (with super fine Wentworth Miller!) 'What about Brian', 'Brothers and Sisters', and love the X-factor season - sorry Ces!

Books:

Love reading. Anything by Omar Tyree, Sister Souljah, E. Lynn Harris. The best books I ever read?? "Makes Me Wanna Holla" by Nathan McCall. That's a great book... AND "The Purpose Driven Life", "The Secret", "Care of the Soul", "Ask and it is Given" - anything by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

Heroes:

That would have to be MrBruvOx. He's there for me always and I'm really proud of what he's done with his life. Luv ya!
