Before he was old enough to attend school, singer/songwriter Christopher Scott was picking out familiar melodies by ear on the family piano. These hints at a greater musical gift didn't go unnoticed and led to 10 years of training as a classical pianist. It didn't end with piano, however. Christopher's undying passion for music drove him to learn a total of 16 instruments--all by the age of 16. Today, Christopher writes pop/rock songs with melodies that hit between the lungs and a raw authenticity drawn from tears, triumph, struggle and experience.
Christopher has been featured in the pages of Glamour , Allure , Teen Vogue , Jane , Lucky , and Self magazines as one of 3 finalists in the VO5 / Condé Nast "Red Hot Rising Stars" competition , And, with past featured "Rising Stars" including Natasha Bedingfield and Tyler Hilton , it's easy to see Christopher is in good company.
The Texas native moved to California to pursue music full-time, performing at such notable SoCal venues as House of Blues , The Mint , The Roxy , and Room5 . Christopher's music has earned him an Orange County Music Award nomination for Best Male, a sponsorship from Larrivée guitars , radio play and glowing reviews:
"...memorable hooks, well-crafted lyrics with heart and soul."
"Talented is an understatement..."
Most recently, Christopher made his American and Canadian reality TV debut as one of 3 finalists on the award winning reality series Making It Big, which has been described as "The Apprentice" for singer/songwriters. He is also busy writing new songs and promoting his self-titled, self-produced debut album, on which he plays every instrument. is it true that you play ALL the instruments yourself?
totally true. i play all the instruments, write all the songs, record them and mix them all by lonesome. oh yeah, and somewhere in there, i find time to sing, too. 8~)
***UPDATE*** on the bonus ep songs i still recorded and mixed, but my band played with me: kline oliver on bass, josh russak on drums, joe arant on guitar. the demo of "under the surface" was recorded and mixed by rick @ rick quest studios.
how can i buy your album if it's not in stores?
you've got a few options, so let me break it down... i'm an "indie" musician, so the only way to get my album is at my official webstore or at a gig. you can use paypal or credit/debit card to order it one of 2 ways:
1) on cd for $7 + shipping
2) as a download for $5.99 (you can choose mp3 or itunes format)
PLUS you get the 3 song bonus ep for free when you buy the album!

what if i don't have paypal or a credit/debit card?
i get this a lot from my younger fans, so if you fall in this category, don't sweat it--i've got you covered, too. just click HERE to get the order form and follow the directions.
what if i live in luxembourg / botswana / mongolia?
i recommend purchasing my album as a download. you can get it from my official webstore by clicking HERE . if you don't mind paying for international shipping and you REEEEEALLY want my album on cd, just email me and we can work something out.
is your music on itunes and can i buy individual songs?
although i'm not on itunes yet, you can still buy individual songs for $.99 at my official webstore by clicking HERE . even if you live in luxembourg.
when are you gonna play (insert your state here)?
i've received emails from SO many of you begging me to play your town and i'm totally flattered! if you keep up with my blog, you'll see my wife and i just had our first baby, so it might be a while before i get on the road again. if you want me to play a private show in your town, just email me.
i love your music! how can i help spread the word?
well, thank you very much! the best way is by word of mouth--tell your friends you found me first! you can also spread the love online. of course, how you do that is up to you but here are some ideas:
- add one of my songs to your profile
- put me in your top friends
- decorate your profile with a banner
- send a bulletin or post a blog
- be creative...
why didn't you answer my email?
i try my best to respond to every email i get, but sometimes i just get too busy with other things. please know that i appreciate every email that i get and please don't take it personally if i don't have time to email you back. just try to avoid asking something totally unoriginal like: hey whatsup?
we cool?
cool!
larrivee makes the best acoustic guitars--hands down! i searched for years for the right acoustic guitar and finally found the larrivee D09, and now i'm very fortunate to actually be sponsored by larrivee.
