Christian Bermudez, born in New York, raised in Bogota, Colombia, first came in contact with electronic music at the age of 19 when he attended his first underground rave in N.Y. This innocent experience, however, did not leave him unaffected; it was the beginning of an exciting journey. After years of living in the limelight on the dance floor at rave parties and the NYC club scene, a decision to transcend to the decks redefined his music love-affair. Watching Tony Draper rock the decks at Avalon Nightclub in NYC every weekend, Christian was overwhelmed and inspired by the power of the DJ. His hypnotizing rhythms united ravers and strengthened Christian’s will to practice harder and harder, with the hope to one day command the pulse of the crowd. With his preference of banging electro, Christian is emerging rapidly in the DJ industry, moving multitudes in the tri state area, with future gigs across the United States, South America, and Canada. Christian found his partner in crime when his brother, Jorge, also picked up DJ’ing as his passion. This connection manifested itself as “The Bermudez Brothersâ€, ever evolving. These two brothers have devoted themselves to the music industry and will keep on working hard to make you sweat.Jorge Bermudez, born in Bogota, Colombia, was at first interested in punk rock. He was introduced to electronic music at the age of 19 when he joined his brother, Christian Bermudez, in the U.S. it was at raves, clubs like Avalon, Crobar, and Spirit where Jorge cut his teeth on the sounds of DJ Erick Morillo and DJ Tiesto, both who would later influence his music career. Although Chris was the first to dive into the electronic music scene, Jorge was quick to absorb the culture. He soon discovered he had a natural ability for spinning. Easy success at the turntables encouraged Jorge to continue on this path. Soon enough he was rocking the same clubs he once had to wait in line to get into. It was his drive, his focus, and his devotion to the music-all so very apparent when he’s behind the decks, that attracted his fans. It was inevitable for Jorge and Chris to join forces. They became The Bermudez Brothers in 2006 under AMM Records NYC, feeding and bouncing energy off each other, pleasing their crowds the whole night through.
