Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox ! With two Gold Records on his wall at his home near Music Row in Nashville, TN, Dave Duncan knows a little about songwriting. With his home broken by a bitter divorce, he knows little about the blues too. And with his spiritual beliefs tested but still intact and a major part of his daily life, he knows about trials, redemption and Faith.Duncan has spent the last 30 years playing soulful music all over the US. On the road with cowboy singer Johnny Western ( Have Gun Will Travel/Johnny Yuma) back in the 80's, Duncan played the rodeos and roadhouses of the western states. Years of gigs followed with S.E.Willis & The Wayward Sons, at the time the top roots band in Arizona. After a long stint with Hans Olson, Phoenix's premier bluesman, Duncan finally landed back in Nashville and immediately had success, writing the rocking "1-800-Use To Be" for country megastar, Lorrie Morgan. This was followed by national tours playing guitar for the legendary cult favorite, GooseCreek Symphony. With the birth of his son, Riley(named for BB King), Duncan got off the road and concentrated on his songwriting again, this time coming up with the country ballad "You Know How Women Are" for #1 selling Buddy Jewell.Seizing the opportunity to record with some of his musical heroes, Duncan recorded his 1st CD " I Don't Know If Its True.. But It Happened To Me" and has received airplay worldwide. Joined by musical guest including Jack Pearson (Allman Brothers), Reese Wynans(Stevie Ray Vaughan), Mark Wenner (The NightHawks), Jimmy Nalls(Sea Level), Dennis Taylor (Gatemouth Brown), Kevin McKendree( Delbert McClinton), this Cd is a romp thru uptempo original blues songs, often with a slighty twisted sense of humor... as on "20 Pounds of Taters in a 10 Pound Sack" and the hilarious "Harmonica Lewinsky".Dave Duncan is currently in pre-production for his new CD to be recorded in Nashville in the spring of 2007. He looks to tour extensively in the US and to break new ground for himself in Europe to promote this new record.Be sure to check out his soulful orignal songs here at mySpace and at CD Baby as well.
