About Me

'We're In Control'
Everywhere I look round here
It's always the same
From the lighted street corners
To the darkest of lanes.
A society, no variety
Stagnated by chains
That only seems to breed contempt
Despite it's magnitude of brains.
These attitudes and plattitudes
They make me feel restrained
And then I stop and ask myself
Just who is to blame?
But then we all know whose to blame
For the shame that is poverty
But from that poverty
Can come the social harmony
As people unite
Within their own community
To take on the hypocrisy
The stain on our democracy
Sometimes I'd rather live
In a Stalinist beuraucracy
Than put up with the bullshit
You're tryin to throw at me!
Now I wish this world was a notebook
So I could fill it up with poetry
Let words and verses reverse the inequality
So we could live in rhyme
And pen a future of realy quality
Where 9 to 5 would take a dive
And everyday's a holiday!
Cause from this planet's first year
We've all been stuck in first gear
And the people who were first hear
Probably couldn't have imagined in their worst fears
That after the settling of the dust here
There would be so few people you could actually trust here.
But fuck it, at least we're here!
Every single one of us
Every daughter and son of us
Has the power and the knowldege
To change all that's in front of us
And face down the clowns
Who'll always try and make a cunt of us!
So in the darkness of the night time
Don't curl up and shiver
In the heat of the moment
Don't procrastinate or dither
Cause from on high no God shall deliver
It's only us who control the direction of the river.
Now I know we're all different
But we share the same goal
We share the same fire
And the same fearless soul
So whatever you're conditions
And whatever you've been told
Never forget it
We're in control!

------------
Hi everybody!
How do you do? I can't really think of anything interesting to say, and can't be arsed writing shit loads about myself as I'm worried I'll come across as a self-indulgent ball bag!
If you'd like to know more about me, like where I live, what colour of underwear I'm wearing and which member of Westlife I'd like to impregnate, then please feel free to get in touch and I will respond in the appropriate manner.
If however, you would prefer a picture of myself in a rather salacious pose then please see my Photos section, where there is a wide range of snaps of yours truly in all manner of shapes and sizes.
Each snap, mounted and framed no less, will cost you a measly £27.52. Or if you're willing to push the boat out a little, I'll make you an offer you can't refuse - three lovely pics of my fine self, all for the princely sum of £748.22.
Be quick while stocks last!
Have a nice day!
Eamonn Coyle,
Cell 99,

My Interests

Waking up in the morning worried that what I've just dreamt could be reality, waking up in the evening wondering where the day's gone, taking ages to decide what pair of jeans and t-shirt to wear, sighing loudly through a combination of tiredness, laziness and not knowing what I'm going to do next, smiling randomly for no apparent reason, telling people I know where I'm going then having to admit to them that I'm lost and never really knew in the first place, getting lost in music I love, playing the guitar quite well and signing not so well, sharing an irreverent yet harmless sense of humour with my friends, arriving at the pub and not being able to find my mates cause I cannae see that well, being in the pub and forgetting I've got work the next day, sending drunken texts to random girls on my phone then regretting it the next day, watching a team in green and white hoops win against a team in royal blue, watching a big Polish guy in yellow save penalties, writing stuff down then shouting it out, trying to get us that wee bit closer to a socialist utopia. And that sorta thing...

I'd like to meet:

Who else but me, sticking it to the Sheridanistas at the SSP's rally for Unity, Integrity & Socialism on 2 September 2006...
And Skinnyman for Mud Fam, keepin it true!
This is one cool mo fo! And if I look like this when I'm 44, I'll be chuffed...
A fist fulla hip hop from Manuva MC - legend!
And some Def Jam Poetry I found from Lauryn Hill - excellent stuff!

Music:

I fucking love music, I'd be lost without it, it's the greatest form of human expression and it can do all sorts of shit. That last bit wasn't that profound and more than a wee bit cheezy but you get ma meanin'!? I like a lotta good tunes and personally i think my taste is pretty sweet, though there's always room for improvement. I'd rather not just rhyme off loads of bands I like cause everyone and their granny does that. So basically I'll just say something like: "I'm a bit of an indie kid at heart but I'm into some good hip hop (espesh the home-grown Scottish stuff). That as well as some ay yer so-called new rave carry on like CSS, Hot Chip an that. I also love me Irishy/Scottishyfolky sorta stuff, such as the excellent Christy Moore and The Pogies. Good music is good music so let's listen and let's dance!"

Movies:

I've actually been to the cinema quite a bit recently. In fact I've probably been more times in the past two months than I have in the previous two years before that. Been to see a couple of strange yibs lately as well. That Hallum Foe was pretty weird and a bit unrealistic, and Eagle Versus Shark was kinda funny at times but the unbearable geekery and bafoonery of the main characters made it really cringeworthy I though. Anyway, Just seen the new Joy Division film Control. Excellent depiction of Ian Curtis's life and shows how much of a twisted bastard/genius he was!

Television:

Yes I like the television. Green Wing, The Simpsons and Father Ted will do for me. And some decent documentaries. And some football of course!

Books:

I've just finished reading Neil Lennon's autobiography, Man and Bhoy. It's a really entertaining read full of interesting stories and thought-provoking opinions. The man's a leg end, no question. I really should read more though.

Heroes:

Ian Brown, Bill Hicks, Martin O'Neill, Henrik Larsson and anyone who's inspired me really.
