i like music. and i mean that, i like almost any kind of music as long as it's good. from aboriginal folk music to zydeco fusion. it's all connected, the language of human souls calling across continents and genrations to each other's creative muses. sure i had a young phase where i would only listen to Def Leppard or Guns N Roses. but at the same time i found myself absorbed by Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Pink Floyd. And while i may have banned the playing of Grateful Dead concert tapes in the ski shop i worked... a few years later i was a regular at dead show lots and for years at Phish shows. but now, you might find almost anything in my CD player. could be Buddy Holly or Velvet Revolver, Fleetwood Mac (only peter green era), Widespread Panic, Art Blakey, Audioslave, Nickelback, Duke Ellington, Elmore James, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Pantera (thanks to ruthie), Jazz is Dead, Metallica, Parliament Funkadelic, Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Wailers, Creed, Steely Dan, Clifton Chenier, The Police... it goes on and on. could be old blues or new jazz, almost anything motown, metal in it's various flavors... as long as it's innovative sincere and inspiring i will listen to it. got anything i haven't heard of?
six feet under, bullshit, monster house, arrested development, northern exposure (bring cicely back!!!!)...theres many more... i mainly watch nerdy boring things, like documentaries on the history channel, but then i also watch a lot of auto racing as long as it isnt drag racing. and then again i have a strong liking for absurd, surreal, or offbeat comedies like monty python reruns, scrubs or my new favorite, my name is earl.
