-Dub P- ...Aint know way too explain it.....Dub P started off as a family and turned into a way of life. A bunch of street kids from all over the world, happened to link up an start something that has grown past the confines of city limits and countries borders. Dub P isn't a group or a band. It's not what people nowadays call a movement, yet it might be a set of beleafs or their way of handling business. Some say it has to do with wolves and some say it is a pact amongst hustlers. They try to explain it like this:" Look, if you outside defyin the odds dat say you sposed to make it nowhere fast, you on ya grizzy, you gittin this money, you outside at night an just feel like wildin out, howlin at the moon runnin around actin stupid watever watever havin fun, if you link wit ya fam but you always able to hold ya own when you solo, when you take care of ya family and aint fraid to fight...no matter who or what the enemy...then i guess dat would almost explain about ehebody dat rep dis Dub P shit." Everybody has a different definition, which seems to be the beauty of it. And the music speaks for itself. Right now nobody in the camp can say for sure how many people they are, but the main cats doing their thing are Beleaf, Rev, Bantu, Gerz, Robbie, Jstalin, Mogly, Zoo and Fuse. Fuse runs NightFusion Studios which is about to be a namebrand by itself, and there are many partners and affilliates that fund and support them. Together they have released about 10 projects including albums and mixtapes. It is not an exageration to say that each and all of their releases are classics, respectively. If you have only heard a couple of songs you could easily imagine what these young cats are capable of. Their gumbo of different styles seems like its thrown together effortless to make a pot that could take out ya grandmama's best cooking. Most other collectives that try to incorporate many different aspects of this rap game usually don't click. Dub P is like pulling back the hammer and popping one in the chamber, thats how they click. It is actually hard to lable them "rap" because they jump out and grab you with music that you never heard before and would never expect to hear. Dub P is something totally new, not limited to the preconcieved notions of how rap is supposed to sound. Dub P is truly a building, not in the concrete structure sense of the word, but more in the growing and getting bigger sense. Look out for a string of new releases coming to a corner store near you, you will want to get caught in the storm that is coming. Duuuuuubbb P!!!
