To me, there’s no man sexier, it motivates me to learn a new language (I ni ce... I ka kene?), and who doesn't love a hybrid baby? (Ha Ha! I bet Drew will get a kick out of that one!) Plus... I just may find myself in Africa one day (So soon! Bamako, Mali 2008: Here I come!) I am honest, kind, generous, open-minded, loving, dependable ...and more. I am a natural caretaker. I am down-to-Earth, peace-loving, and mature. I have a passion for music (my latest musical obsession -- Salif Keita... Listen to this man and tell me that his voice doesn't touch your soul... absolutely amazing...), movies, and visual art. I love making people laugh, and I have a tendency to do that a lot. I love those I consider close friends -- and if I love you, I love you for life and I'll go all out for you. I'm a strong believer that all good things do not last, so while I am as happy as can be, I'm merely enjoying the ride. I understand that it can all be gone tomorrow. And believe me, I have allowed myself to settle and had the rug pulled out from underneath me on more than one occasion. But... it is a process. If you spend enough time around what you deem perfection, eventually the ugly is gonna show. It's just the way of things. The world is a harsh place. I only despise drug addicts and criminals because I can't be them. I can't let difficult situations turn me into those things and that upsets me; not because I'm judging them. For most people, it's so easy to mess up. For me, it isn't. I won't judge because I understand how people turn to drugs and commit crimes. I understand how it's possible that people kill others and/or kill themselves. These things, while insane, exist. Some people just can't take it... Can you imagine what missing a few hugs as a kid can do to someone? The craziest of scenarios emerge out of repressed memories and screwed up childhoods. Yes, I do have issues. But don't we all? I think we all suffer our own personal hell. Some people tend to lash out while some create a prison for themselves. In some, it's obvious they're falling apart while others keep it bottled up until they begin to suffer a mental breakdown. It's a miracle that I have not become any of these things considering the situations I've endured. It's all in the way we as human beings handle things. Allahu Akbar! In this life, there are few I trust. But most importantly, I trust in H.I.M. Prayer works! If you allow him to lead you, happiness will find you. It's easy to get tangled in the web of life and lose direction, but trust that He is there for you and will guide you back if you would only turn to H.I.M. and ask for His help...
